Cast Bios
David Caruso - David plays the soft spoken Crime Scene Investigator Horatio Cane. His past acting adventures was Michael Hayes, NYPD Blue, An Officer and a Gentlemen, Kiss of Death, and Hudson Hawk to name a few. He was raised in Queens, NY.
Adam Rodriguez - Adam plays the hot Investigator Eric Delko. He has been seen in things like NYPD Blue, felicity, Roswell, and Brooklyn South. He lives in New York and Los Angeles.
Emily Proctor - Her character is the southern belle Calleigh. She is a North Carolina Native that was a former weather girl for a local weather T.V. station. She is a graduate of East Carolina University. Her film credits are Jerry McGuire and Leaving Las Vegas. On T.V. she has worked on Friends, West Wing, and Just Shoot Me.
Jonathon Togo - He lives in New York and is a graduate of Vassar College. He has been in Mystic River and been seen in T.V. on Law and Order, Judging Amy, and the Jury.
Eva La Rue - This California Native is best known for her work on All My Children on daytime television. She earned an Emmy for her role there. She has done appearances on shows like Hope and Faith, The George Lopez Show, Third Watch, and Soul Food. She received a Gracie Allen Award for her work in television. She also took on the role as an Extra correspondent.
Khandi Alexander - This New York native has been in shows like The Corner, and ER. She has Broadway credits of Dreamgirls and Chicago. She has appeared in The Menace II Society, and There is Something About Mary. Off screen she has been the choreographer of Whitney Houston's tour.
Rex Linn - This Texas native who kicked started his career in acting while in his thirties. He began acting in things like Night Game, Cliffhanger, Rush Hour, Jag, and Third Rock From the Sun.
Character Bios
Horatio Cane - This soft spoken man came to the Miami Dade Crime Scene Investigators from New York. He left New York when he couldn't find happiness in his work after his partner had been accused of being a bad cop and got killed. He now is the head of the Miami Dade Crime Lab. He has experience is in forensics and bomb squad. He married Eric's sister, Marisol, only for her to be killed soon after they said nuptials.
Eric Delko - He is a Cuban native that was family came to the U.S. before he was born. He was very close to his sister Marisol before her untimely death. Before she got involved with Eric's boss Horatio romantically, he was shown taking care of Marisol as she battled cancer. Eric was even questioned about a drug buy that he made for marijuana to help with Marisol's pain. He was discovered by Horatio and quickly became one of Horatio's main investigators specializing in fingerprinting. He also suffered the lose of fellow investigator and best friend Tim. In the last season he was shot and almost died. During the season you see his feelings for Calleigh come more evident. His past romantic connections was with Natalia, with whom recently had a pregnancy scare with.
Calleigh Duquesne - She is the southern belle of the team. She is a strong investigator that uses her calm demeanor to help her solve crimes. She was a police officer in Louisiana when Horatio discovered her because of her love for ballistics. Her father appears off and on showing his battle through alcoholism. Those scenes show Calleigh's vulnerability as she wants to help her father through it. She has been connecting more with Eric personally during the fifth season and is trying to fight her feelings for him. She is scared to show that side of herself since the last time she did it her boyfriend killed himself in season 3.
Ryan Wolfe - This Boston native was discovered by Horatio while he was still a rookie with the police department. Horatio noticed how clean his gun was kept and noticed OCD tendencies. He replaced Tim Speedle, an investigator in the lab that was killed in the line of duty, in the lab. He has been connected with a Miami new reporter that has caused him some problems about information that she has exposed in the media. His injury on the job was a nail to the eye from a nail gun. He was fired during the episode "Burned" during the 5th season because he lied about a connection of a victim he had.
Natalia Boa Vista - This Latino was a mole when she first arrived in the lab. She was put there by the feds to build a case against the lab. After her intentions were discovered, the lab personnel felt betrayed because they felt like she was one of them by that point. She then started to train to be an investigator and tried to prove her loyalty to the team. With all of that going her abusive ex-husband comes in the story and showed up murdered. Her past life's story came out as she was proved not to be a suspect.
Alexx Wood - After she started in the coroners office she realized that she had a love for forensics and now is a devoted forensic scientist that loves her work. With her odd styling, she lets the bodies tell her what happened. Although she never seems to mention it much she has two children in the story. She takes each case as if it was her best friend.
Detective Frank Tripp - He is an alcoholic detective that loves what he does. He recently divorced his wife and can be found in the bars after work. He has a hard nose attitude about his job that sometimes gets in the way of his smarts to solve crimes.
Season 5 spoilers
"RIO" - This was the opening episode in the Season 5 book. It picked up with the story about Eric's sisters, Marisol, murder in Season 4. Delko and Horatio goes to Rio to find her killer, Riaz and discovers that his nephew may be working for the criminals. Natalia and Wolfe try to solve a murder involving a beating.
"Going Under" - Calliegh feels up against the wall when her ex-boyfriend is holding out on her with evidence that may help her solve a murder of an undercover ATF agent. She loses evidence when she was run off of the road during the investigation that involves a motorcycle gang.
"Death Pool 100" - When a party gets surprise guest that want to take what is not theirs death occurs. The team realize that this is connected to something bigger, a group that bets on when the famous will die.
"If Looks Could Kill" - Natalia's past comes back to haunt her when her ex-husband is released from prison and makes contact with her. The team have to solve a murder when a man is found cut to pieces by a boat blade in the marina. After investigating they realize that maybe he died before he fell victim to the blades of the boat. They also have another murder where a man was pushed to his death off of a high-rise building.
"Death Eminent" - Natalia's ex-husband continues to bother her on the job. A city councilman is found dead by an apparent stabbing. While on the investigation they discover another body and realize that a land developer was trying to force some of the locals to sell to him so that a hotel could take over the land.
"Curse of the Coffin" - Divorce seems to turn deadly when a woman is found murdered and a miniature coffin was found by her body. The team deals with odd happenings since they touched the coffin and think that maybe it was cursed.
"High Octane" - The team think that murder was the case when an apparent accident happened with a stunt involving a tricked out car. The accident was filmed and there was tampering with the shocks on the car. A film crew follows Wolfe around and annoys the others.
"Dark Room" - A man that is a would be photographer uses his cover story to kidnap women. Natalia's sister is one of the women. The killer left a murder victim near a toll booth.
"Going, Going, Gone" - Charity turns deadly as a model that was in a charity auction was found dead. It appears what she knew got her killed. The charity was a playground for crime.
"Come As You Are" - Natalia learns that her ex- husband Nic has asked one of her co-workers out on a date. A marine is found dead and it looks to have war connections.
"Backstabbers" - A terrorist group turns to murder to get rid of a member that is on trial.
"Internal Affairs" - Natalia's ex-husband is murdered and several people in the lab are suspects. A wealthy man was murdered by a bookshelf.
"Throwing Heat" - Delko finds out that good deeds can be costly when he is served on a $250,000 law suit for defending an abuse victim from her husband. On the beach, Cuban refugees were coming up dead and bombs seem to be involved.
"No Mans Land" - A convict from Horatio's past comes up when a truck carrying weapons to be burned comes up missing. Clavo Cruz is still in jail but planning an escape. One of the guns is found when an 11 year old boy is found murdered by the gun.
"Man Down" - While searching for a kidnaped court reporter that is supposedly locked in a trunk of a car on the roof of a parking garage, Delko gets shot and almost dies. Horatio's fears of Clavo escaping became real and he is suspected in smuggling diamonds from Africa.
"Broken Home" - A babysitter's parents are murdered and left on the property of where she is babysitting that evening.
"A Grizzly Murder" - An illegal prostitution ring is uncovered because of a murder of a prostitute and her bodyguard. Their murder was covered up by another murder of a hunter that appeared to be killed by a bear.
"Triple Threat" - After Delko's return he makes a mistake and the team is worried about whether he is ready to investigate properly. A charity event is the setting for a murder of the coordinator's husband. A murdered woman was found at one of the victims properties.
"Bloodline" - Gambling turns deadly when a man is found murdered near a gambling establishment.
"Rush" - A celebrity rehab is plagued by murder. It seems this was not the first incident of it. The director was setting it up for profit from the tabloids.
"Just Murdered" - Bodies start to turn up during a divorce that is getting ugly.
"Burned" - An arsonist claims the life of a woman. The victims fiancee's ex-lover is the suspect. Ryan's secrets start to come out about a connection to one of the suspects. He lied to cover it up.
"Kill Switch" - Ryan's new love for Television may have caused a murder of a carjacker that he showed driving off on T.V.
"Born to Kill" - In the last show of the season the letter "Y" starts showing up on murder victims. The thought they had the killer but while he was in custody the killing continued.
Well Season 5 is wrapped up and leaves you wanting more. I can't wait to see what Season 6 will bring. There are two storylines that was left unfinished. One storyline was with Wolfe and his job situation, it would be interesting to see if Horatio lets him back in and how Wolfe is going to gain his respect back. Another storyline that is juicy and left open with is the beginning romantic notions of Calleigh and Delko. That is one that could turn into a great office romance.
