This CSI team of forensic investigators is made up of Gil Grissom, shift supervisor; Catherine Willows; Warrick Brown and Nick Stokes, who are best friends on the program; and Greg Sanders. Added to their team, are members of the Las Vegas Police Department and Las Vegas Medical Examiner's Office: Capt. Jim Brass; Dr. Albert Robbins and David Hodges, all of which have their own personal drama within each episode. The drama can be seen on CBS on Thursday nights; you may check your local stations to find the time that CSI: is aired on CBS.
Approximately a year ago, CSI Sara Sidle, played by Jorja Fox, left the cast for personal and professional reasons. She has yet to be replaced in the casting. But a tragic loss episode in the last season, found cast members and viewers losing CSI Warrick Brown, played by Gary Dourdan. Seemingly, CSI Brown was left for dead, slumped over the steering wheel of his car in the last episode for the 8th season; he was left for dead.
Now, the trailer for the 9th season premier shows the CSI team coming together, as in a moment of a crisis. But, there's a glimpse of an open eye at the end...and it's the same color as Warrick Brown's eye color! This episode will air on CBS, Thursday, October 9, 9PM Eastern. So, does this mean that Warrick is going to live? I sure hope so. There are reports of a replacement for Dourdan, but not as Warrick. Reportedly, this new addition will be a transfer from another facility to join the late night shift at the Las Vegas crime lab.
Another reported addition to the cast is said to be Laurence Fishburne. Fishburne plays the character of Gil Grissom, the shift supervisor in the crime lab. Executive producers Carol Mendelsohn and Naren Shankar are looking forward to collaborating with Fishburne. Fishburne definitely has the background for drama, and can easily add his flavor to the fast-paced TV drama show. Emmy award winner Fishburne has been recognized from movies such as "The Matrix "; "What's Love Got To Do With It"; "Boyz N' da Hood" and "Deep Cover". With his addition to the cast, perhaps the next season has a chance to assure its viewers that the drama is just beginning.
