CSI-Miami Returns to CBS After WGA Writer's Strike

Brand New Episodes of CSI-Miami Began on Monday, March 24

CSI Miami has returned to CBS, the first new post-strike episode having aired Monday, March 24, 2008. The new episode, titled "You may now kill the bride", was a hit. The episode begins with a wedding scene where you just know something is going to go wrong. As soon as the bride says "I do", a shot takes her down with pandemonium following. The husband is the first focus of the investigation, and is initially MIA after his bodyguards hustle him from the crime scene. There are several twists and turns, where the husband is cleared and then again suspected, the wife is thought not to be the intended victim, and a high priced prostitute enters the mix. As always in CSI Miami, the culprit is caught and brought to justice.

If you missed this episode, you can watch it for free, with limited commercial interruption, at www.cbs.com. CBS usually posts new episodes online the day after they air. There are also a few back episodes, so if you are behind you can catch up on the action.

There appears to be 5 new episodes that will be aired this season. The next episode, to air on Monday, March 31, 2008, is titled "Ambush". Ambush will be the first of a two-part episode where Horatio is arrested and Calleigh is kidnapped. It appears that the second part, called "All in", is scheduled to air the next day, on April 1. This would be unusual, but nothing so far this season has been ordinary!

The last three episodes scheduled for this season are titled as follows: To Kill a Predator, Tunnel Vision, and Rock and a Hard Place. It looks like these episodes are still in production so I cannot give you the dates they will air. I believe they will start airing a couple weeks after the 2-part episodes.

This season of CSI Miami is one of the best yet, despite the WGA writers strike. I am looking forward to watching the rest of the post-strike episodes, and think perhaps the writers used their time off to think of even better, more creative scripts.
