Cupid's Valentine Promise

Dusti Sparks-Myers
Memory arrows into a wanderer's heart,
As the wind whispers of bitter rejection.
Heaven above shines with broken dreams.
The horizon filled with broken promises.

The moon glows - looking down on icy hearts,
While the stars fall - millions of frozen tears.
A million stars - white-studded tears.
Sparkling - shattering - aching tears.

Hearts breaking with an honest hurt.
Hearts weeping with vanished loves pain.
The mind aches with fleeting madness.
The sun dies - drowning in everlasting dreams.

The night bumbles into pieces of stars' tears.
The sunset cries with the moon's sadness.
A wanderer weeps with love's frustration.
The ocean falls in tiding blackness.

Life continues - framed in frozen tears.
Infinity dances into the sunset's pain.
The moon disappears in forgotten tears.
Wanderers aching for death's darkness.

The stars disappear in everlasting darkness.
The moon shudders in the night's blackness.
The morning weeps with cold abandonment.
An arrow aches for flight - heart-studded dreams.

The morning creeps in - chasing newborn ideas.
As eyes shimmer - two bodies lost in wintry sadness.
The night cries for old promises - new beginnings,
New love - like two candles intertwined.

Cupid flutters beyond sight - eyes opened wide,
New possibilities gleaming on his horizon.
A red rose opens up - a promise of forever joy,
Arrows aloft - rushing to mend two Valentine hearts.
