Improving the curb appeal of your phoenix real estate listing means preparing your home for sale so that the first things that a prospective buyer will see outside your home will catch their favorable notice. Many of these projects are not terribly involved, yet can increase the value of your home.
One place you can start is with your front yard. Simple things like keeping trees and shrubs neatly pruned will help make your Phoenix property look more attractive. You can also freshen the mulch you use around your plants and paths in your yard and garden. If the lawn is not in good shape, you will want to reseed it and keep it watered so it is nicely established when you would like to place your house on the market. Keep it looking great by regularly mowing it, and raking leaves off of it. Adding bright flowers and foliage will also make your home look great.
The exterior of your home might need a little sprucing up as well. Make sure it looks clean by pressure washing it. Simply cleaning the exterior thoroughly might save you the added expense of repainting the entire dwelling. It is a small job to repaint the trim and shutters, and it will make a big difference in your house's appearance. Washing the windows is another easy idea that drastically makes your house look better. Any patio furniture that is seen from the front of your house should be in good shape.
Make sure that the entry to your house is inviting. Any paths that prospective buyers will traverse to reach your front door should be attractive and safe for walking. Adding lighting along a path is a bright and useful touch. You will also want to make sure that your front door is easily visible and says "Welcome." Painting it a bright color that complements or contrasts with the main color of your house could help in this regard. Adding attractive containers of flowers on either side of the door can also accomplish this. Having a light fixture over the entry area that reflects the style of your house is another safety feature that can also add a classy element to your entry.
Tackling these little projects before you put your house on the market will get it looking great, so that buyers will like what they see and your realtor will be able to negotiate a better deal for you.
