Custody of Dannielynn: Anna Nicole Smith's Mother and Larry Birkhead to Meet Privately; Possible Sell Out?
Since the paternity results was announced and Larry Birkhead was named the biological father of the late Anna Nicole Smith's infant daughter, rumors have been flying that Anna's mother, Virgie Arthur, would begin to seek legal custody of Dannielynn. Assumptions on Virgie's reason to pursue custody was said to be everything from concern for the welfare of her granddaughter in the custody of Larry Birkhead to the most popular reason - money.
As court started this morning (Friday April 13, 2007), lawyers for Larry Birkhead and Virgie Arthur motioned almost immediately that the court go into recess until a later date. The reason? A private meeting between Larry and Virgie this weekend to discuss a settlement in the paternity issue of Dannielynn.
The judge agreed and stated that once an agreement would be made between Larry Birkhead and Virgie Arthur, they would need to submit it to the court for approval. Then a date would be set to go over the agreement and to award custody of Dannielynn over to the named guardian.
One thing is clear is that with Virgie Arthur and Larry Birkhead both looking for full legal custody, a courtroom battle would surely be a long, drawn out emotional one. Maybe the best thing for the two is a private sit down. But something just don't seem right about the situation.
Even with the current father of Dannielynn, Howard K. Stern, declaring that he will fight for Larry Birkhead to receive full custody, things are still up in the air. It is rumored that if the battle goes to court without an agreement, Virgie Arthur will argue that Larry Birkhead abandoned her daughter, Anna Nicole Smith, during her pregnancy.
Here is something to think about: Is Larry going to sell out to Virgie? Now that Larry Birkhead has been deemed the father of Dannielynn, what will his next actions be? We can only hope that the meeting between the two this weekend will not be a sell out to the highest bidder.

Larry...take D/L back to CA! If any visitation rights are to be given then HKS & Virgie MUST TRAVEL TO CA! Give YOUR BABY a normal life....have you thought about employing the Nanny from the Bahamas?
I hope soon this will be all over for everyone involved. This has been a nightmare. I also hope that the poor little girl will finally have some peace and a stable homelife.

I am very Happy for Larry B. and I am glad that Howard is not fighting for custody and that he is doing the right thing. I believed all along that he loves the baby very much, and that he also loved Anna despite her many, many relationships with various men. I also hope and pray that he does not cave in to Virgie. I hope that he will honor Anna's wishes and not have join custody. Why should he share custody? He should he is the Biological father, Virgie has no rights,afar as I am concerned Anna disowned her.

There is by no means any reason that Virgie Arthur should have custody of Dannielynn. She's a money hungry lady who failed to have a relationship with her own daughter. I think it is absurd that grandparents feel they have a right to custody, even when one parent has not waived rights. It seems to me that Larry Birkhead wants to be the best father he knows how and has proved he will be. This woman needs to just shut-up and let this child have at least one of her parents.
