Custom Pop Art is use of this form of art in creating pictures for the customer. The process involves inquiring about the customer his tastes, preferences and his style. Then the artists make a "comp". Then a proof is sent to the customer for him to make changes. After the customer makes the changes, the final proof is sent for print. Choice is available for the customer to select styles and the size of the portraits.
The canvas is made of 100% cotton, bright white, water resistant material. The canvas is acid free and without any optical brighteners or fluorescent whiteners. The portrait is then drawn on the computer with the help of the digital photos or photographs submitted by the customer. The photos are then made into gicelee prints. These gicelee prints use high end printers which give a very fine quality print of the portrait.. These prints can be fine mounted, flat mounted or framed behind glass.
These portraits can be also printed on any item like T-shirts, mugs, magnets, wall clocks, mouse pads, tile coasters. The company will create an online store wherein the customer can print the custom pop art on any of the items he wishes. Pop Art should be very carefully cared for. It should never be kept in direct sunlight.
The copyrights of the pop art are retained by the artists. This is given for the term of his life and also for a term of 70 years after his death. The artist can use the images which he creates for promotional and advertising uses.
Companies which create pop art generally have websites where the customer can register. The payments are made through credit cards. After registration the customer should give his photo or digital image. It generally takes 4 to 27 hours to complete a portrait. It takes 5 to 7 days for printing and about 4 days for delivery. Several factors affect the formation of the portrait like the workload of the artist and the amount of attention a portrait deserves etc.
Some companies even give gift certificates of custom pop art. These certificates can be presented by the customer to their friends for any occasion. The portraits are generally delivered by the company to the customer. There is also international shipping option available for the international customers.
