Customer Complaints About Satellite TV Service

Here Are Some Insights

Customer Complaints about Satellite TV Service are a common happenstance these days. While it's not something that most satellite TV Service providers want to talk about it is something that must be addressed. Here are some insights into that subject.

Most satellite TV businesses boast that they are the best in the business. If you listen to what they have to say carefully you might hear between the lines some truth. They advertise as much as they do and as loudly as they do because they have to advertise business is hurting. Customers file complaints every single day of the year there are on average 53,000 complaints over the last three years. That's a lot of complaints. But what are they complaining about?

The cost

The average cost of Satellite TV Service is significantly higher than cable. While there's always an introductory price this price will change on an average of three months to one year. At that point the price can go up as much as 50% or more. That's the number one complaint.

Service

Customer complaints about Satellite TV Service also tend to be about the lack of service in general. For example every time something happens to your satellite dish you have to make a phone call which on average will take you a week or longer to get anybody out to fix. That's a really big deal when you enjoy watching television. If you live in a place that has a lot of bad weather or a lot of snow then your satellite dish can get really messed up. If you don't know how to fix it yourself you have to make a service call which not only takes time but it also costs a lot of money. The satellite TV companies know this. If you didn't know you do.

While there are many customer complaints about satellite TV Service unfortunately there's not a whole lot any of us can do about it. You could subscribe to cable. While I am not saying its any better it is an option that's available to anyone who wants to have television.

I had issues with Dish Network and changed to Directv. Their customer service is far better - so far.
