Customer Service: Cash in on Your Personality with Home Based Business
Work-at-home-opportunity Profiled by Diane Sawyer and GMA
You know you can start an internet-based business. There's eBay, affiliate marketing, marketing your own product, etc. Yes, these are viable businesses but you need to make money now! Not somewhere down the road. Even if the headlines try to paint a different picture. You don't fall for the "get rich quick" claims!
Is it asking too much to want "a real job" that you can do right in your own home? To watch money come into your bank account instead of going out? Your wishes may be about to come true. There is a legitimate work at home opportunity that is literally sweeping the nation.
Diane Sawyer and Good Morning America have profiled this work at home job. "Homeshoring" is the term used to describe this growing industry. It simply means there are companies that need to hire call center agents to work from their own homes.
To save money, companies outsourced their call center work to other countries. Customer service took a nosedive. People calling the 1-800 lines wanted to talk to a call center agent they could understand. Unfortunately, English is the second language of these customer service representatives. Frustration grew on both ends of the phone. Something had to be done to change the way these companies handled the needs of their customers.
So the virtual call center was born. Telecommuting is an exploding trend. For example, by the year 2010, there are expected to be 300,000 virtual agents just in the reservation and insurance industries alone! Imagine the numbers when you understand how many businesses there are out there who need virtual representatives.
This is an ideal work at home job for stay at home moms, retirees, students, the physically disabled, just about anyone who wants to earn an income but they need to be able to perform the job from their own home. You'll have an interview like any job but this is done online.
What You Will Need To Become A Virtual Call Center Agent
1. A computer
2. High-speed internet access
3. A "quiet room". In some households this can be hard to come by. You want to have your office be as sound-proofed as possible. No noisy neighbors, crying babies, screaming teenagers or loud pets.
4. You need to be a self-starter and motivated. This is your home based business. You are the professional.
So if you need a job right now where you will be earning money while working at home, the virtual agent field is an exciting work at home opportunity.
