Customize Facebook Profile
You will start by going to your Facebook profile page and selecting the Info tab. Click Edit My Profile, Edit Information to make changes. If both you and your partner have a Facebook account, you can add your anniversary date and the name of your partner to your profile by entering your anniversary date and partner's name under the Relationship status field. You can display an alternate name on your Facebook profile by checking the box that gives you the option to display your alternate name on your profile page. Once you are done with your changes save your updates by clicking Done Editing at the top right of the page.
Customize Your Facebook Layout
To customize your Facebook layout, you will first need to go to your profile page. You will be able to move certain boxes up and down along the left side of your page. Links, Notes, Photos, and Facebook Applications such as iLike Music Player, are the only boxes that are moveable. You will not be able to change where your profile picture or general information appears.
How to Add New Profile Tab to Your Facebook Profile
You can add a new profile tab to your facebook layout by simply clicking the plus sign icon to the right of the box tabs on your Facebook profile page (after AdvWall). A menu box will open giving you the following options to choose from: Causes, Links, Events, Notes, Video, Movies, or other Facebook applications you have used. You can also search for applications to add to your Facebook layout such as the iLike Music Player. Depending on your Facebook profile settings, your friends will see your additional layout tabs. For example, they will have access to the music you have added to your Music Player.
Facebook page customization with free template
The Template4all website offers two free Facebook templates for facebook page customization. According to the website, the themes are very customizable with three columns and widget capabilities. Other features include expanding, collapsing and movable sidebar boxes. You must have Wordpress 2.1+ to download these free Facebook layouts.
