Anyway back to ObjectDock the free program from Stardock that allows you to customize a toolbar and "dock" which ever icons or tools you want to in a convenient toolbar on your desktop. This tool allows you to organize shortcuts, programs and tasks into an attractive animated dock. ObjectDock allows you to have more control over the organization of your desktop and allows you to make your most used icons and programs easily accessible through the cool new interface.
With many customization options ObjectDock gives you a lot of control over how the Dock will look and feel. If you want to you can even replace your start bar completely with your customized Dock. With various modes and settings you can get the dock working just the way you want it to.
I like that the program is so customizable and allows me to easily create a dock that suites my needs and I can tell it what to do. I also like the new weather flyout features, which is a simple feature that displays the weather for your area for the week ahead. Another valuable feature is the "Keep in background" mode where when the dock isn't in use it simply disappears off the screen, and then is instantly re-activated once you mouse over the Dock.
I was surprised at the programs usefulness and the functionality it has added to my Windows desktop. It has many customization options and has an easy to understand user interface so you wont get confused trying to use it. I love how feature packed this nifty little tool is, and its constantly being updated and having more useful tools and features added to it. ObjectDock also gives you loads of free graphics and icons to use as you please and plenty more that you can get to use with ObjectDock at WinCustomize.com.
As always with free programs you have to worry about a few things, like will it affect the performance of your computer, will it affect any other programs on your computer and can you trust the publisher. Well in the case of ObjectDock the answers are all the right ones, it wont slow down your PC, it has no affect on any other programs on your computer and Stardock the software publisher is a trusted publisher and ObjectDock is hosted on Download.com and CNET both trusted sources of free software.
This program really is a cool and fun tool that can not only spice up the look of your Windows user interface but can add almost unlimited functionality as well. You can now decide what icons you use the most and put them in the Dock, you can also customize and create program shortcuts, link buttons, and other useful tools to make the Dock more useful.
I love the ability to quickly and easily drag and drop any icon onto the Dock, its so easy to add or remove what ever icons you need or want to get rid of, simply by dragging them onto the dock or dragging them off the dock.
Go checkout the ObjectDock at the Stardock.com website, you wont be disappointed. This truly is a fun and useful tool for Windows XP and Vista.

Post a CommentSo the object dock is good in your opinion, well as a Mac and PC user I will certainly take a look.
Your coments on the Microsoft Vista are really strange considering you think you know what you are talking about. Vista is a load of junk, everyone knows this and the fact it sold well is that Microsoft has the knack of inflicting unfinished software on a community of users that fear change.
They all follow suit like lost sheep thinking the new Windows will make their lives easier. It doesn't, and the updates will follow to fix this problem is the usual line they are fed.
The Macs are great machines anyone buying one will have to pay a little more but you have a stable operating system that works without incident. Both Machine have there merits so stop having a dig at Apple users and don't forget the birth of the Personal Computer that brought computing to the masses was actually an Apple.
