The company has been around since 1949. They offer a Forever Guarantee policy on all of their products and will either replace or fix the problem if you are not completely satisfied. You cannot purchase Cutco in stores, but only through a direct sales representative or online from their website. They have over 100 products available. The prices range from $36 for a single knife all the way to over $700 for a huge set with a wooden block. The unique Double-D (serrated) edge will remain sharp for many years and the straight-edge knives cut extremely well.
Some of the great knives they offer are 5" and 7" Santoku, Paring, Trimmer, Steak, Chef, Carver, Spatula Spreader, Slicer, and Butcher as well as a Cheese Knife, Vegetable Peeler, Pizza Cutter, Ice Cream Scoop, and Super Shears. Handcrafted oak wood blocks are available for the storage and display of your knives. Each block slot holds specific knives. Cutco also has a complete line of cookware, sporting and pocket knives and garden tools.
I simply love all of the items that I own, but my absolute favorites are the Chef Knife, Spatula Spreader, and Trimmer. My next purchase will be the Super Shears or I may even put it on my Christmas list! I am so glad that I received Cutco knives for a wedding present. I slowly add to my cache as I feel it is worth the money to invest in this great product.

Post a CommentMy note below was meant to suggest that if someday Cutco would stop selling door to door, and was bought out like Wearever then why should be expect any better treatment that the non-treament we're getting from Wearver at this time? The guarantee they offer is good only so long as they are willing to oblige themselves. Try to collect on that guarantee once they (Wearever, Ctuco, etc.) have been bought out, solder merged and remerged! And I myself sold Wearever in the 60's and own both products now and like them both.
At one time Cutco and Wearever Cookware were owned by the same company, I believe. Now Wearever Cookware is no longer being sold door to door, only in stores; and replacement handles that are needed no longer one can be found. I called the manufacturer of Weaver store brand and the rep. said something to the effect that certainly you certainly don't expect to provide handles because you want them..or something to that effect.. So, is this the service we can expect of Cutco? Why not?
In 1963 I purchased at set of Cutco kitchen knives and a set of steak knives.........they are fantastic and still going strong!
I agree all of Cutcos' products work amazingly!
And for the person who's having issues w/the item(s) all you have to do is contact the company and they will be happy to a sits and help you w/your problem.
I purchased the ratchet pruner and have problems from the first time I used them. They stick and the yellow locking lever locks the pruner every time your close them.
