Cute, Funny Things Kids Do!

Theresa L.
I am a very lucky mother, because I get to stay at home with my children. There are not a lot of parents that can say that, and it is not because they do not want, but because it does take two incomes just to get survive.

Granted, my husband and I are not made of money, but the circumstances in which we live allow me to raise my children.

I bring this up because of the cute things children do. Keep in mind, these are my own children, but like any parent, we all have these moments that set the rest apart.

My two year old LOVES to do dishes. Every time I start the water in the kitchen sink, he is pulling a chair over to the kitchen counter to help out.

My oldest son got chocolate milk on his foot, and he did notice it, but his brother noticed. He went and grabbed a towel and wiped the chocolate milk off his brother's foot. When he was done, he put the towel in the dirty clothes basket.

One day he was tired, and he knocked his hot dogs (including ketchup) onto the floor. He went and grabbed a towel and began to clean it up himself. I will admit he did make a bigger mess but it was really cute to watch.

When my oldest was three he was brushing my hair. He got the hairbrush knotted up my gorgeous hair. Yes it was very pretty hair, and very long. So, I began to cry like a two year old, and he started patting my arm saying 'It's okay. Don't cry.'

My two year old loves to beat his 10-year-old brother up, and the sad thing is he can. If he thinks he hurt you, he will put on this most adorable face and say 'Okay?'.

Those are just cute moments in my children's live, but funny moments.

When my ten year old was about four or five I was just getting him potty trained. At this time, I was a single mom and found potty training a night mare. I finally got him into big boy underwear, but he still had accidents. During this time, if you asked him if he went poo-poo, he would turn around, pull down his pants, point and say 'no poo-poo'.

At his kindergarten graduation, he ran off the stage to hug his teacher. Just as he wrapped his arms around his, his pants fell down around his ankles. I have that on video and it is cute and funny at the same time.

Then my two year, takes the cake of all funny stories involving my children. Just last night he went into take a bath. Normally it is me who gives him his bath, but this time his dad decided to go sit with him. Keep in my mind, my two year old will come into the bathroom when you are in there so he has the general idea of what a toilet is for. As he is playing in the bathtub, he grabs his dads arm to pull him in. My husband is like 'okay', and takes off his shoes and climbs in. Before he knew it, my little one turned around to face him, and just as if a big boy was doing it, peed on his father.

I will probably be laughing over that one for a very long time. However, whether you are at home parent or one that has to work, take enjoyment in the little things your children do. Someday, our children will grow up and these sweet, funny memories are the ones we will look back on.

Very fun to read. I love watching my two-year-old daughter and getting to see all those cute, funny moments. They grow up so quick it is good to jot those memories down to remember. I do!

They should. I forgot to mention the Hulk incident with the marker and my 2-year-old, but all these memories are the ones we will laugh over for the rest of our lives.

I miss my Tiny Tot Brigade. They always had the best views on timely subjects. I sometimes think kids are smarter than adults.
