Cute Halloween Costume Ideas for Mom, Dad & Baby

We love Halloween around here and each Halloween both my husband and I try to come up with family themed costumes for the two of us to where along with our baby daughter.

For my daughter's first Halloween, she was only two months old. We found her a little sleeper outfit with a hood that was a pumpkin. It was super comfy for a newborn and warm and she looked adorable as a little pumpkin. My husband and I decided that we would be gardeners since we grew this little pumpkin. Were wore straw hats, overalls and carried around gardening tools. It made for a super cute and easy family costume!

For my daughter's second Halloween we dressed her up in a poodle skirt as a little fifties girl. My husband and I also decided to go along with that theme. My husband was a greaser. To achieve the look, we slicked back his hair and he wore a leather jacket. I also dressed up as a fifties girl. I pulled my hair back into a ponytail with a ribbon around in and I wore a skirt with a cardigan sweater and ankle socks with dress shoes. This year's family costume really worked out well and we all looked adorable.

We haven't started thinking about next year yet, but I'm sure we will come up with a fun family costume. To save money, we usually buy my daughter's costume and then assemble the pieces for the matching parent's costumes with items we have around the house. My daughter gets real joy from seeing her mommy and daddy dress up too!
