The Cutters still possess one of the more organized outfits in the league, even with their loss last week. Keep in mind however, the Cutters were without their star Lineman, the frigid "Norseman" Rum. In his place the stocky and surprisingly agile, best mod of Novaffl, big Tone, held off rushers in his stead along with the Jordanian Bull. The only difference is, that when Rum is on D-Line, the Norseman can catch scrambling quarterbacks a lot better than the Cutters other linemen. Moreover, Rum is possibly the real architect behind the Cutters plays and designs.
Before I go on, I need to give a "shout-out" to the Cutters who are much maligned by the rest of the league. This team shows by their actions and contributions to "Novaffl moderation" that they care about teams actually having a moderator in lieu of other outfits ignoring their duties. Often is it true that this team steps up in the face of callous disregard by clubs such as the Hawks and 69ers who have missed quite a bit of their "modding" duties. As a result, perhaps an argument can be made to give this Cutter squad more of a say in the league's direction, even with the dwindlign influence of the soon departed Strawman.
I just wish that they go ahead and name Straw's successor. Will it be Mcgrath or Rum? This analyst thinks it will be either or, because both have Cutter tenure.
Also, I want to add that Straw is making a huge mistake if he continues to allow Big Tone to play with his glasses on. As a GM, you need to look out for your player's well being (i.e Athar's purchase of cleats for D'Angelo, Madcap's mentoring). If a shard of glass were to hit Tone in the eye, there could be two grave ramifications: 1) Tone could go blind and be unable to work; 2) Tone could die.
I've seen glasses break, and in a league like this when an Upper Decker strongman at 6'5 lurches for a guy's face unintentionally, people can get hurt. Smarten up Cutters and get that dude some contacts at Walmart or goggles that are made entirely of plastic.
****Madcap Intel****
The league needs to beware the Cutters use of the option play. Billygoat Billy (the only NovaBBL player to successfully guard Madcap) and Mcgrath often are participants in this play and Straw will either fake the pass or give it to these two for a run.
