CVS Allergy Relief: A Review of This Store Brand Antihistamine
Will This Product Help with My Cat Allergies?
CVS pharmacy's non- drowsy allergy relief pill contains twelve orally disintegrating tablets. The box says to compare the active ingredient to Alavert which also offers an orally disintegrating tablet. The active ingredient is Loratadine at 10mg, which is a common ingredient in many over the counter allergy remedies. The inactive ingredients in this product are aspartame, croscarmellose sodium, fruit flavors, magnesium stearate and sodium stearyl fumarate. To use the product you should be 6 years or older and the dose would be one tablet every twenty four hours. If you ever experience an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients don't use this product. Also stated on the packaging is that you should ask your doctor before using, if you have kidney disease. Suffering badly from an allergy attack brought on by my new cat, I placed one of these tablets on my tongue. Within minutes the tablet dissolved on my tongue and left a pleasant taste in my mouth. The tablet that I used was flavored with citrus and mint. I sat down and waited to see if my symptoms would begin to dissipate. After about fifteen minutes passing, I started to feel the itchy feeling go away. The next thing to clear up was the sneezing, water eyes and then the cough. Within an hour I felt better and back to my old self. The product was also great because it was non-drowsy, so I was able to stay awake and alert. This product did help with all my symptoms and I don't have anything negative to report about it. I will continue to keep this product in my medicine cabinet for quick allergy relief. CVS non-drowsy allergy relief works great and I highly recommend it to others.
