Samson and Delilah Chapter 13 the Promised Birth of the Nazarene Baby
A. And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD delivered them into the hands of the Philistines for forty years.
B. A certain man of Zorah of the Danites whose name was Manoah and his wife barren. (Note: Manoah's name means to rest, be calm, or be quiet.)
C. An angel of the LORD appeared to Manoah's wife and said, "You have been barren, but you shall give birth to a son. Make sure you drink no alcoholic beverage or eat anything unclean. Another thing, you should never cut his hair, for he shall be a Nazarite. He shall be dedicated to God from birth. He will deliver Israel from the hands of the Philistines."
D. Then Manoah's wife reported to him the salutation of the man saying, "A man looking like an angel of the LORD spoke to me telling me I shall bare a son and he shall be a Nazarite. He told me not to drink any alcoholic beverage nor eat anything unclean." (Note: She didn't mention to her husband about no haircuts. Probably assuming her husband should know that is one of the rules. Yet she failed to pass all of the information. She even added that he is to be a Nazarite from birth to death. For the angel didn't mention from birth to death, but the reason for the salutation is to affirm to Manoah's wife about the conditions governing her firstborn child from her barren womb. The angel didn't mention he shall be a Nazarene from birth to death because that is based on the individual. Just because you were born a Catholic doesn't mean you're a practicing Catholic. Just because you were baptized in water as a child doesn't mean the dedication remains with you throughout your sinning life. You will find out about Samson that he may still be a firstborn to Manoah's wife, but he still must obey the rules of an Nazarene. If you want to stay dedicated to the LORD, you must obey his will for your life in order to remain clean. Just because you ate yesterday doesn't mean you can slack in eating for the rest of your days. Samson were to remain with strength as long as he kept his hair long, no razors could touch his hair, drink no alcoholic beverage, nor eat anything unclean, and in his spiritual life he must have these statutes written in his heart. You must obey. In order to maintain the anointing in your life, you must feed him with the statutes of the LORD, so that your spirit man in return may instruct you in the way you should go.)
E. Manoah prays for a second visit to teach them how to raise the boy.
Our story of Samson will continue in Part II, starting in Judges chapter 14.
F. God heard and answered Manoah's prayer. The angel of the LORD appears to Manoah sitting in the field alone. She runs to fetch Manoah and explains to him the man who pronounced her pregnancy is back. Manoah got up and followed his wife to the location of the man who proclaimed the pregnancy.
G. The angel of the LORD said, "Your wife must not eat anything that grows on the grapevine nor drink any alcoholic beverages or eat anything unclean." (Note: Manoah didn't understand that the man speaking to him was an angel of the LORD. The second time appearance the angel didn't mention about the hair not to be cut. No cutting of the hair was not mentioned like the first time announcement, but the rules still apply.)
H. Manoah wanted to prepare food and wanted to know the name of the man. The man refused to answer stating his name was too great too comprehend. The man said, "Make an burnt offering to the LORD." So Manoah sacrificed a young goat and offered a meal. The fire went straight to the sky and the angel of the LORD ascended in the flames from the altar to heaven. Manoah and his wife worshiped the LORD. The angel didn't return again. (Note: Sacrificing in their day was an act of reverence, obedience, and thankfulness unto the LORD. However the Lord Jesus Christ became the lamb of passover for all sins. Jesus is the sacrificial lamb for all sins. And he has been exalted by God the Father to be our High Priest. The Lord Jesus Christ accepted this role in heaven before descending into the human form seed imported into the virgin woman Mary who was espoused to Joesph. Joesph was of the lineage of King David, Jacob, Isaac and Abraham. In other words Joesph had royal blood flowing through him when he decided to marry. The sovereignty bloodline was due to any firstborn child of Joesph. Plus Joesph is from Galilee. The Lord Jesus were to fulfill all prophecy confirming his birth. Jesus would be a Nazarene. And now for two thousand years the children of Israel hasn't figured out that the Lord Jesus Christ has already died for their sins. They Hebrew children have not had a priest to officially offer sacrifices, a temple to worship in, nor a sacrifice to offer. Because Jesus is the High Priest, the New Jerusalem is the Holy City, and Jesus death was the last official sacrifice. But the time will come when the light of this revelation will officially be evident, but it will require the Lamb of God to remove the sacred seals from the heavenly scroll book in Heaven. This information is in the final book of the Holy Bible called the Revelation of John. In the final days of Earth. A world leader will swiftly take his place politically. He will set up his government swiftly. He will execute a world one religion. But the Jews, he will sign a treaty to rebuild them a temple. The temple will be near the Temple of the mount. The doom of the Rock, a sacred real estate. But this world leader will break this treaty soon after the swiftly made Temple is erected and dedicated. He will step into the Sacred Temple dedicated to God and sit in the Sacred seat of God declaring he is God. Then the blindness of the cloak of deceit will be removed from those who see this act of haughtiness as blasphemous. They will run. And he like Pharaoh will martyr anyone who refuse to worship the New World Order. That's the facts in a nut shell.)
I. Manoah thought after seeing God that they would die. But Monah's wife didn't believe that for she said, "If God wanted to kill us he would have done so, he wouldn't have accepted our burnt offerings, and he wouldn't have promised us a son." (Note: It was thought seeing God or an angel from God meant death. And burnt offerings is usually done by consecrated priests offering sacrifices for sins. But Samson was to be a deliverer and Saviour for Israel out of the hands of the Philistines.)
J. The child was born and the Spirit of the LORD was upon him. Samson grew and he was blessed of the LORD.
