I was taught to remember the exact number in the Old and New Testament that there is a trick to it. I will share that trick with you.
In the word Old there are three letters. In the word Testament there are nine letters. Take the three in Old and the nine in Testament and put them together, you have thirty-nine. Old=3 letters/Testament=9 letters which is 39.
And for the New Testament, there are three letters in the word New and nine letters in the word Testament, Take three in New and multiply by nine letters in Testament you get twenty-seven. New=three letters x Testament=nine letters=27. 3x9=27. There are 27 books in the New Testament.
