Cyber Monday became the single biggest shopping day in 2010, surpassing even Black Friday, and major retailers like Amazon.com were instrumental in clocking sales that exceeded $1 billion for the first time in history. This year, quick to capitalize even more on the success of Internet shopping in the Christmas season, Amazon.com, like Walmart and Toy R Us, have expanded their Cyber Monday sales deals to include Sunday bargains as well.

Although the "Cyber Monday Store" officially opens at midnight Sunday, Nov. 27, there are online deals to be had Sunday, Nov. 26, in an hourly updated set of offerings that will continue through what is now being call Cyber Week.

As noted by CBS News, the online retailer has hundreds of items on sale, including:

Pentax K-5 Digital SLR (Body Only) for $999 (save $200)

Sony Cybershot DSC-HX5V 10.2 MP Digital Camera for $199 (save $150)

Microsoft Xbox 360 250GB Holiday Bundle (includes Fable III and Halo Reach) for $199 (save $100)

Nokia N8 (Unlocked) for $299.99 (save $249)

Monster Diddybeats Headphones for $59.99 (save $89)

Mercer Cutlery Genesis 6-Piece Knife Set for $99.95 (save $150)

Those are just a few of the sales items that can be found at Amazon.com during Cyber Week. There are also discounts on numerous entertainment items like CDs, such as the latest albums by "American Idol' winners Kelly Clarkson (MP3 download $4.99) and Scotty McCreery (Audio CD $6.99), not to mention the latest platinum-selling album by multiple award-winning Lady Antebellum, Own The Night ($9.99 Audio CD; $8.99 MP3 download).

For readers, there are sales on bestsellers, like Terry Goodkind's The Law of Nines ($1.34), Christopher Paolini's Inheritance ($15.10 hardcover; $13.99 Kindle), and James Lee Burke's Feast of Fools ($15.86 hardcover; $12.99 Kindle).

So if you missed, skipped, or just ignored the Black Friday sales crush (and violence ) and Internet shopping is your preferred method of shopping, Cyber Week was tailor-made for you. And while doing your Cyber Monday shopping, you might want to pick up an Amazon Kindle DX for $259 (regularly $379) to help keep up with latest sales deals.
