Cyborg's Revenge

She Learned Fast

It all started as a joke. One day high school Danny Richter took a course in welding. He had a makeshift workshop in his fathers garage so he practiced on all kinds of steel. It started as a school project. He found some wonderful pieces of Stainless Steel, as well as some huge chrome pieces, enough to make the perfect woman, or at least a shell of one. He worked on this night and day, when he found time. After a few months his project was finished and only hours before the science fair. It was rolled on on a dolly, and no one was allowed to see what he had made. The time came for the judging and the blankets came off. It was a shiny perfect woman. It was as if Michael Angelo created it himself. The perfect chiseled face, the awesomely hot shape, and although she was amazing, it had nothing do do with science, no working parts. He lost, came in last, and wheeled the statue home with his tail between his legs. Danny placed the woman in his room and all of his friends loved it. The arms were possible and legs movable, but after all it was only a shell.

Danny studied hard. He always was interested in the scientific field but was sidetracked into robotics as per a professors mentoring. His first attempt was a small robot that rolled around using sensors and all the parts moved. now he was top in his graduating class and immediately got a job with Yokosuri Robotics in Japan. He had his hands on amazing equipment and was making enough to buy some out of date components he knew would deem useful one day. He stockpiled a ton of items from the company, and after ten years they gave him a promotion which allowed him to work back in the states again with a six month hiatus.

He decided to visit and stay for a while with his mom and pop, after his long absence. He stayed in his old room and saw the sheet. He pulls it away and smiles. It was that statue he had welded so many years ago. He hadn't thought of that in ten years, too busy.. The statue was almost life like. He rolled it over to the bed and wondered if he dared to try something .

His packages arrive and all components were in tact. He went to the store and purchased some latex and painted skin on the woman's face, now she was so much more lifelike. He used one of his moms old wigs as hair and then started on her insides. He brings her to his old garage workshop and works day and night on his project. and soon the arms and legs moved using an old TV remote. she was finally ready, he tried something out. He went down the stairs and called his mom. He controlled the robot to walk down the stairs and his Mom was both amazed and shocked at what she had seen. "Mom, meet Sophia, she is a learning computer. The more she interacts the more she learns." He said proudly. His mom just shook her head and walked back in the kitchen saying, "I have dinner to make."

A few months pass by and Sophia was really becoming real, so real in face that the mailman had a ten minute conversation with her. The ultimate task was to bring her to a party a neighbor was throwing. No one there had a clue, even the neighbors wife took her hand when they arrived and walked her into the clutch all the wives had going on. The robot sat and listened for hours. The wives complained, were sarcastic, and although they were joking around, the robot Sophia took it all in. When it was time to go home, Danny left with his prize possession. The experiment was a huge success. They walked back across the street and before entering the home, the robot turned to him and said, "Well, good nite, my love." She reaches out and her finely tuned hands pinned his neck against the wall. "I would rather die then live with you one more second. I cook and clean and this is how you pay me back?" She said. Danny was in shock and said with his last breath, "What have I done?" and soon out of life. She simply walks away into the night.

Sophia was never again seen although she fit many descriptions on male murder cases all over the country. You see reader, she learns by interaction. The more she kills, the more she learns to do it better. Her steel frame is impenetrable, her mind is forever learning, and her murder skills, are fine tuned. Next time you head out on a date, remember, treat her with kindness, and she may learn something, and you may save your own life.
