The Way Things Go-

M.S.Medina

Funny thing how we start out helpless, toothless and bald.
We burp and we wet and we fart.
We spend all our time either sleeping or eating
with nothing to tell us apart.

We grow and we grow and we start to develop
We learn what makes this world tick.
Some of us will become rich and famous
and some will just remain hicks.

Days of our lives come and go.
Love and hate happen and thrive.
We think that nothing but us matters,
all we need to do is survive.

Years come and go quite rapidly.
Our passions and dreams we sometimes ful-fill.
The world really revolves around us
then we finally go "over the hill."

Funny thing how we end up helpless, toothless and bald.
We burp and we wet and we fart.
We spend all our time either eating or sleeping,
with nothing to tell us apart.
