Daddy Can You Take Me to the Park?

Father and Son and a Day in the Park

Sondra C
Daddy when are you going to take me to the park?

In a little while son, I have to finish what I am doing.

Ok daddy I will wait.

Daddy did you finish yet? When are you going to take me to the park?

In a few minutes son, I have to take care of a few errands.

Ok daddy i will wait.

Time passes..

Daddy when are you going to take me to the park?

Oh! son, I almost forgot. I have to take your mother to the store. She needs to buy something for dinner.
Please wait.

Ok daddy I will wait.

The day went on just like this

The son kept asking and the father responded with another question.

Time passed and the sun slowly disappeared

and in its place were clouds filled with water

Father, never mind taking me to the park

It is going to pour in just a second

I did not want to go to the park anyway

I just wanted to spend the day with you, daddy

And Now It Is Too Late

Any relationship between this poem and the song is completely accidentally and not intended. The thoughts of this poem are completely my own and flowed out of me like sweet wine. It is a memory of a past relationship with my father.

Parents seem to forget that their children will not be little for long. Enjoy being with them while they are young and want share a day with you. When they get older, they will want to be with their friends.

Kids grow up too fast. When an opportunity arises to spend time with them, take it. Soon they will be old enough to be embarrassed by their parents, and the quality time together is lost

Well done - it's too late for me and my dad as well. Lost him 7 years ago. Not making the same mistake with mine.

very cute. My four year old daughter said a funny tonight. She said her headache was hungry. She heard mom a few days earlier saying she had a headache because she was hungry.
