Uses for the Master Symbol
If you've been attuned to the third level of Usui Reiki, you can use Dai Koo Myo for the following:
Pass on attunements. When you teach Reiki, you also attune your students. This symbol is used to actually pass on attunements for students of all levels. If you don't use the symbol itself, you can still call upon the energy it invokes, but use your own cue instead of the symbol. No matter which you choose, you must have been attuned to Level III before using this symbol or energy. Otherwise, the attunements you try to pass on won't work.
Promote clarity. When you or a client needs clarity on an issue or about your true spiritual path or life purpose, you can use the Dai Koo Myo. Simply work it into the treatment by drawing or visualizing it over each Chakra, especially the crown Chakra, or over the problem area.
Improve intuition. The Dai Koo Myo stands for empowerment and intuition. When people are empowered, they have more confidence and are more likely to trust their intuition. Therefore, the Master symbol is often helpful in treating with the intent to improve intuition. Using this symbol on yourself will also improve your ability to sense Reiki energy and to know what needs to be treated. As a result, you can benefit from meditating on the Dai Koo Myo.
Spark creativity. This is a good symbol to use with writers, artists, and anyone else in creative work. It can also help people who feel trapped feel unstuck, unblocked, or free. People who don't have hobbies may find some after being treated with this symbol.
Treat migraines. It is said that the Dai Koo Myo works on the cellular and genetic level during healing. Many Reiki Masters have found this symbol helpful in treating migraines, among other conditions. You can activate the symbol and its energy every time you use Reiki, and it will do what is needed.
Manifest. Like the Cho Ku Rei, you can use the Dai Ko Myo to manifest things that are in accord with your highest good. To do this, activate its energy and visualize what you want to manifest in detail. You can use this for yourself or for others. Just be clear with others that it only works according to their higher purpose, which they may or may not be aware of.
Perform any function. You can use the Dai Koo Myo in place of any Reiki symbol. Your intention and the symbol's energy is all that's needed. Healing can be facilitated on any level with this symbol alone.
The Dai Koo Myo is often called the secret symbol. It is not secret, but its functions are sacred. For many years Reiki Masters did keep the symbol secret, however. So, less has been written about Dai Koo Myo than about the other Reiki symbols.
Dai Koo Myo symbolizes and activates spiritual connection, intuition, creativity, and self-empowerment. It can help access your higher purpose, and you can use it any time you give Reiki.
