Daily Crossword Puzzle: Los Angeles Dodgers

Lee Andrew Henderson
Did you know the World Series happened last week? I just had to make sure because I don't think ESPN realized the World Series was going on because their top stories all week were Alex Rodriguez and Joe Torre.

After Joe Torre was let go by the New York Yankees they hired Joe Girardi. Now the big story is the Los Angeles Dodgers and their pursuit of Joe Torre as their new manager. I thought with all the buzz around the Los Angeles Dodgers it would be as good a time as any for a Los Angeles Dodgers crossword puzzle.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have one of the most storied histories in Major League Baseball. The Los Angeles Dodgers started as the Brooklyn Atlantics back in 1884. The Atlantics first became the Dodgers for one year in 1913 and then took on the Dodgers name full time in 1932. In 1958 the Brooklyn Dodgers became the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have won six World Series titles and 21 National Pennants. The Los Angeles Dodgers have won the National League West title 9 times and they've been the Wild Card 2 times.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have had many spectacular players over the years like Sandy Koufax, Duke Snider, Jackie Robinson, Pee Wee Reese and Don Drysdale. And let's not forget the greatest Dodger of all Mike Piazza. Okay, maybe not, but I'm a Mets fan so that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Without further ado, here is the Los Angeles Dodgers crossword puzzle and yes, Mike Piazza is the answer to one question.
