Daily Dose: Did You Watch the Speech?

State of the Numbers

Scope it, as in Horoscope: That advice you just got may have come from the very people who are out to destroy you.

Bonehead Tip of the Day: Suggest this: You have cut. You have downsized. You have made some budget adjustments already. Those who are telling you it's time we all need to do it, well, duh? And shut up. I've already done it. It's your turn. And leave my money alone. I'm taxed and made to spend money on meaningless programs and ideas for quite some time. You tighten and cut for once.

The List: Speech on TV
NBC led the way and then CBS and ABC, on broadcast channels; Fox was fourth. Networks that carried the speech included ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, TEL, UNI, CNN, Centric, CNBC, FOX News Channel, and MSNBC.
The speech was on 11 channels and averaged 42.8 million viewers. That's 11 percent down from last year, notes sources.
Source: Nielsen.
Notes: When you add up the numbers for the State of the Union speech it still doesn't beat the two football games aired on one channel last Sunday. When you air a speech or event on every channel, the number is deceiving, when comparing it to something that is only aired on one channel, like a football game, and even the Super Bowl.

Trivia: A recent study says...oh forget it, that may be one area to cut. Two states are surrounded by water on three sides. They are Alaska and Florida. The brown bear is born tiny, naked and blind. So was I. When a polar bear is swatting those salmon, you would win the bet if you said they will be doing so with it's left paw. The cheetah is fast for sure, but it really prefers to make sprints of about 200 meters, or 220 yards.

Closer: Let's face it, we all spin. Time to admit it.
