On the Daily Kos, you can get an account by registering with them by choosing your own user ID and password. Once you give them your email address, Daily Kos wil then send you an email with access to your account. Within the first week of receiving an account, you cannot write any diary entries. For more info on that, read on. Also, within the first 24 hours you cannot post any comments on any articles.
The way the comments work, is that you click on a link below each article to post feedback or a comment on the given article that you have just read. Each article that a person writes appears on its homepage and below each article, it states how many comments have been posted by people and how many comments are "new" and have not yet been read by the person who has read the article. Users also have the option of responding to the users who have left comments on their article by listing the comment response directly below their article or by sending it directly to the user who left the comment.
Diary entries are the most popular feature of Daily Kos because it allows you to type in your thoughts on just about any issue and any topic. Your thoughts and comments are not regulated or editing by anyone except yourself. The great thing about the Daily Kos network is that there are many people who take the time to read your diary entries and leave feedback. My first diary entry which I wrote last week received 11 comments. Through the comments, you can develop relationships with other bloggers and also develop connections with other people who will always read your blog.
The other great thing about Daily Kos is that politicians keep blogs and write their own diary entries. Just last week I read a diary entry by Congressional candidate Jon Powers, running in upstate NY for U.S. Congress. The Daily Kos Web site also has its own staff on hand, who write diary entries that are professional, insightful and contain info that is up to date on the current state of affairs in the Democratic Party.
Daily Kos features also allows you to post videos and images if you know HTML coding. However, you don't need to have any knowledge at all in order to write a diary entry or post a comment. Knowledge of HTML and posting images will only get you more page views and comments for your diary entry.
Daily Kos was created by an Iraqi War vet and since then, the Web site is one of the most populated blog Web sites for users. If you need advice or want to talk about politics, Daily Kos is the place for you.

Post a CommentThat one has to join the Daily Kos in order to post comments explains the uniformity of comments. No wonder there is so much agreement and mutual equiptment licking.
