Benefits of a regular daily schedule are self-explanatory for businesses, schools, and appointments. However, as important as regular daily schedule's is for businesses, schools and scheduled appointments, having a regular personal daily routine, or schedule- is perhaps of even more importance for the individual.
A schedule for individuals will help to alleviate stress, curb health issues, and give a sense of purpose or importance-meaning for the individual's life.
However, a daily routine that is uncertain or irregular will create stress not just for the individual physically but also for those around that individual-this would include but not limited to- children, and pets.
Flexible or rotating schedules may be one of the greatest health hazards for individuals-especially those who did not maintain a regular daily routine or schedule previously.
With increasing demands made on individuals-and families, it becomes clear that as economic challenges increase the importance of a regular daily routine or schedule is of more importance now than perhaps at any other time in recent history.-For the family especially.
If unemployment has entered into the life of an individual or family- short-term the stress levels, will be elevated. However if this is unemployment lingers, going from short-term to long term, stress levels will escalate. As stress levels escalate due to diminished resources, the individual, and the family may recline into a depressed state of mind.
As the individual proceeds along the unemployment path, the daily routines, or schedules one familiar to the individual becomes lost, as one day blends into another. Over time, the individual may begin to experience extreme bouts of depression. This is especially true if the previously mentioned individual had been the sole financial provider for the family.
Indicators that an individual is beginning to decline into depression, may show up as the individual wakes up later each day, or stays up well past normal for this individual. '"Sleep patterns are the first to change with daily nutrition rapidly being the next signal that an individual is or may be headed into a serious depression.
-The absence of a daily schedule will escalate the decline into depression. Without a daily schedule or routine, any minor health issues may become very serious. The lack of a regular daily schedule or routine '" may even lead to hospitalizations or even death. '"If the individual happens to have a serious health issue such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease or any number of serious illnesses.
A daily schedule, may or may not help the unemployed individual to find employment, however if the unemployed individual will set a daily schedule for waking up, meals, going to bed, exercise, and job searching, it is less likely the individual will face disability due to serious depression.
Life expectancy can be lengthened and healthier if a daily routine or schedule is maintained throughout life. This is especially true for those who have serious medical conditions.
Any major event or crisis that disrupts an individual's daily routine or schedule may also have serious repercussions on the health of the individual if steps are not put in place to maintain a regular schedule.
The absence of a routine or daily schedule will lead to a loss of sense of responsibility '"medical conditions will be aggravated, serious malfunctions may result as a result '"including the death of the individual.
