Daisy fills me . . .
with your smile and laughter
with your smile and laughter
Daisy springs root . . .
where others cannot
Daisy reaches out . . .
with your delicate embrace
Daisy renews promises . . .
of joys beyond this life

Post a CommentThis is so lovely. I was really close to my grandmother too.
I pick the daisies in my yard and bring them in and put them in a vase to enjoy! I live in the country and have tons of them! I have a story like this one, too, kind of, maybe I should publish it. My grandmother liked yellow butterflies so I think of her when I see them.
I hadn't realized this was about your grandmother, makes it more beautiful :)
I loved the story behind this. And I, too, like daisies - let others have the fancy expensive flowers; give me a bouquet of daisies any day :)
Great Poem!
