CD Daisy Puppet:
Materials You Will Need -
Paper Plate
An Old or Unused CD
Craft Glue
Large Wiggle Eyes
One Yellow Pom-Pom
Scrap of Felt or Construction Paper
Old Sock - Preferably Green Colored
Scissors
Instructions to Make the CD Daisy Puppet -
First, cut around the edge of a white paper plate to make daisy petal shapes. Remember not to cut anymore than the petals. Next, glue the CD onto the center of the paper plate.
Where the hole in the center of t he CD is glue the yellow pom-pom over the hole to make a nose for your puppet. Glue the wiggle eyes on to the top of the CD, then and use a scrap of felt or construction paper to make a mouth for the puppet. Glue the mouth on the bottom of the CD.
Finally, apply a good amount of glue to the back of your flower, you may also want to use a hot glue gun or crazy glue for this part. Gently press the foot part of the sock onto the glue and set aside to dry completely. Tip:The best way I have found to keep the glue from seeping through the threads in the sock and sticking together and sticking a used toilet paper or kitchen paper roll into the sock until the glue drys.
Daisy Petal Bracelet:
Materials You Will Need -
8" of elastic string or cord per child
Multiple colored pony beads that are in the colors of the promise (Light Blue, Yellow, Light Green, Red, Orange, Purple, Magenta, Green, Rose, Violet)
Scissors
Instructions to Make the Daisy Petal Bracelet -
Take the 8" string or cord and wrap it around each girls wrist to get an idea of how big the bracelet will need to be. Cut down to the wrist size while also leaving enough room to tie off the ends of the bracelet. Use the Pony Beads to string the elastic cord in the order of The Promise to make the Daisy Petals bracelet. Use about two or three pony beads of each color to make the bracelet large enough to fit the girls writs.
Tie off the cord at the ends when you have enough beads on the bracelet and cut off any excess cord.
