Oprah Interviews Dakota Fanning and Shows Trailer of Twilight Eclipse

Dakota Fanning appeared on Oprah today to talk about her role in Twilight Eclipse and introduce the movie trailer. Read on to learn more about the interview and access the link to the movie trailer.

Twilight Series Book Sales Top 85,000,000

Before the interview started, Oprah mentioned that over 85,000,000 copies of the Twilight series of books have been sold. "That's a lot of books", Oprah remarked. She went on to tell the audience that she bought the latest Twilight book for her students in Africa for Christmas. She said it was their favorite Christmas present.

Twilight Eclipse and Dakota Fanning

Oprah interviewed Dakota Fanning via skype. She asked Dakota how she felt about being in the Twilight movies. Dakota said she was honored to be asked to take part in the Twilight movies. She plays the role of Jane, an evil vampire. She talked about having to wear specially made contacts to give her the blood red eyes her vampire role required.

Oprah went on to ask Dakota how she stays so grounded. Dakota chalked it up to having a normal family life and having the ability to go to a school that lets her leave when she's filming a movie and come back when filming is done.

Students at Dakota's school think it's cool that she's in the Twilight movies. The school she attends is a K-12 school. Dakota is currently a Junior in high school which prompted Oprah to ask about prom. Will Dakota attend the prom? She's not sure if she's going to go. She doesn't have a date yet and is trying to decide if she would rather go with a date or just go with a group of friends. How's that for a normal life?

Twilight Eclipse Trailer

When it was time to introduce the trailer for Twilight Eclipse, the audience shrieked. Oprah let Dakota have the honor of introducing the trailer. After it finished airing, the audience shrieked again.

Twilight Eclipse opens in theatres on June 30, 2010. The cast of Twilight Eclipse will appear together on Oprah on May 13, 2010.
