Dallas' Best Spa is in Arlington

Spa Time Anyone?

Break A Leg!
I moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex September, 1998. My company was making major changes and relocated me to one of our distribution centers in Grand Prairie. It was a step up. Bringing a Silicon Valley salary to Grand Prairie was like a 40% raise.

Well, bless their hearts. Prior to the complete move I was on assignment in Chicago. A four month assignment. Meaning, I had been living out of a suitcase for four months! Oh, I'm not complaining. Chicago has some of the best shopping in the world. Not to mention an Italian restaurant (my favorite) on every corner.

But, when my assignment ended in Chicago, I had one week to get back to Pittsburg, California, pack my things and be ready for movers to take them to Texas. This included my car.

Now, I'm no stranger to traveling. I was in the military for six years. I have seen places on this planet most people can't find on a map. I know how to pack a house, ship a car, and find an apartment within three days. So, a whole week was a treat.

Here's where my spoiled California living comes in. I must have access to a really good spa. I knew this move was going to be a dozy and I was going to need the jaws of life to get the kink out of my neck.

After going on-line and finding my apartment, department stores, restaurants and outlets in my new neighborhood; I started my search for a spa.

I found several, but the one that stood out was Daired's. The page was user friendly (for 1998) and very feminine. I called to set up an appointment and was impressed with the customer service. I got a package that included a manicure, pedicure, 1 hour massage, salt rub, hair treatment and make-up. Their packages have changed since then, but their prices are still reasonable. Also, they used to be in a small building off of Little Rd. They are still in the area, but now you can see their building right off of I-20 near the Bower exit.

Daired's is male and group friendly. They offer treatments for couples as well as bridal parties and group events.

Their full sized salon has several five star hair stylist, make-up artist and masseuse on site. Plus, they also have a diner. This is a great place to have a bridal shower or non-traditional bachelor party. They also have a conference center if you are a business that treats your staff to a job well done.

Check out Daired's link. You won't be disappointed.
