The New Orleans Saints are no longer an undefeated team. The Dallas Cowboys defeated the 13-0 Saints on in New Orleans. This game put an end to the "Dallas can't win in December" streak.

The Cowboys came out strong and put up two unanswered touchdowns in the first quarter. The first touchdown was a 49 yard pass to Miles Austin by Tony Romo with Nick Folk making the extra point. The next was a 3 yard rush by Marion Barber into the end zone with the extra point also being good.

The Saints kicker, Garrett Hartley, kicked a 34 yard field goal in the second quarter bringing the score to 14-3. Dallas answered with Nick Folk kicking a 44 yard field goal before going into half time. For the first time this year the Saints fans were not given something to cheer about from their beloved team.

Dallas came back from halftime and dominated the field for the third quarter. Marion Barber rushed for a 2 yard gain for a touchdown and the extra point attempt was good giving the Dallas Cowboys a three touchdown lead in the game.

The fourth quarter proved to be difficult for the Dallas Cowboys and their fans were on the edge of their seats up until the very last minute. The New Orleans Saints scored two touchdowns. Mike Bell rushed for one yard for a touchdown and the extra point attempt was good and then Drew Brees passed to Lance Moore for yet another touchdown and the extra point attempt was good bringing the score to 24-17.

With only minutes left in the game and the Saints in possession of the football, it was Demarcus Ware's sack and forced fumble that handed Dallas the game. This tremendous player came back off of an injury and proved to be a key player in the game.

This was a key win for the Cowboys but the bigger story here is that the undefeated Saints lost despite their home field advantage. Third downs proved to be hard for the Saints during this game and that is something that Coach Sean Payton said that they would need to work on.

This win brought the Dallas Cowboys to a record of 9-5 and left the Indianapolis Colts as the only undefeated team in the NFL.
