Dallas Cowboys Vs Arizona Cardinals: Las Vegas Line & Pick Against the Spread

Dallas Cowboys Christmas Gift is Playing Arizona Cardinals

Todd Jacobs
The Dallas Cowboys will unwrap their Christmas gift late when they take on the Arizona Cardinals on Christmas Day in Phoenix. The Dallas Cowboys may be out of NFL Playoffs contention but they are not playing out the string. Jon Kitna has been well worth his menial NFL salary compared to Tony Romo.

Ken Whisenhunt and his Arizona Cardinals showed signs of life against the Denver Broncos and even their kicker Jay Feely got in the act scoring a touchdown and the first 16 points of the game. Arizona is down to a third string quarterback in John Skelton out of Fordham and they will face a defense that will be looking to prove they are not quitters.

Dallas Cowboys Offense vs Arizona Cardinals Defense

The Jon Kitna led Dallas Cowboys have played well under interim head coach Jason Garrett. A few injuries have kept the Dallas Cowboys from running on all cylinders and the Dez Bryant injury was devastating to the offense. The running game is back in the mix with Tashard Choice and Felix Jones picking up the slack and if Marion Barber could ever get back to his form of two years ago they will never have to pass the ball.

The Arizona Cardinals defense looked like the Super Bowl version of 2008 in the game against the Denver Broncos. They were quick to the ball and they were causing turnover situations all game. The secondary of the Arizona Cardinals has been much maligned but they put it together for one game.

Against the run the Arizona Cardinals have been less than stellar. They are giving up 143 yards per game on the ground which ranks 30th in the NFL. The Arizona Cardinals gave up 177 yards on the ground to the Carolina Panthers in a losing effort. The Dallas Cowboys offense has the edge over the Arizona Cardinals defense.

Arizona Cardinals Offense vs Dallas Cowboys Defense

The Arizona Cardinals offense is a non factor and in this game they will be on their heels the entire game. The Dallas Cowboys will be pinning their ears back in this game and it will be apparent soon how quick John Skelton adapts to a quick snap offense.

The running game has not been established all season. The Arizona Cardinals are averaging 90 yards per game and they have not been consistent all season. The lack of a passing game and a quarterback has left this team twisting in the wind and incapable of any consistent play.

Defense has been an issue all season with the Dallas Cowboys. They came out of the box strong to start the season but at the end of Wade Phillips reign as head coach the Dallas Cowboys defenders quit on him. Now the defense has reacted to the criticism of lackadaisical play and have stepped it up as a unit led by DeMarcus Ware. The Dallas Cowboys defense has the edge over the Arizona Cardinals offense.
