The Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO) is having the concerts at 2301 Flora Street June 21 and 28 at 7:30 p.m.

Single concerts are $13-$48 and the four-concert series is between $40 to $168.00.

In unrelated music news, Garnier Fructis Rock Your Style kicks off June 22 with a James Taylor concert at Jones Beach. The Glam Jam Team from Glamour Magazine will be at all the performances which are held at the same location. John Mellancamp performs July 10, Sheryl Crowe with James Blunt takes the stage July 28, Maroon 5 and Counting Crows sings Aug. 1, and the Allman Brothers Band performs Aug. 13. There will be pre-show Glamour and Garnier styling cabanas at the Counting Crows concert.

In other Glamour Magazine news, Andrea Coller won the annual essay contest for the publication but sadly passed away from a long battle with cancer for the third time by the time her story was published. She was a self-described "music-obsessed" singer-songwriter-hairstylist who was only 27 when she died. She was a regular at open mike nights.

"Andrea Coller rocked readers with her bold, fiercely honest memoir," said Cindy Leive, Glamour editor-in-chief in the July Glamour Editor's Note.

The SAMFund, a nonprofit that helps young cancer survivors with their financial needs, has established the Andrea Coller Memorial Award, which will go to a patient with Coller's fighting spirit.
