Brandon Waggoner is back home in Dallas, and that most certainly is Hollywood's loss. Brandon is working at the Warren Wilkes Salon at 2811 McKinney Ave. suite 14 Dallas, Texas. If you are looking for a great haircut and or color job, this is definitely the man to see.

Brandon Waggoner is originally from the Dallas area and was the first graduate of the Toni and Guy Academy. Many years ago he left Texas to go to California and pursue his dream of being one of the best hair stylist in the country. Prior to coming back to Texas, Brandon owned and operated his own shop for 8 years in West Hollywood called 'Hair Outlaws'. For 15 years he was a member of the Make Up and Hair Union for the film industry. Brandon has worked on multiple films as a hair stylist, including Rush Hour, Tomcats, and Delta Farce. He has worked on numerous television shows and has rocked out the hair of many actors, actresses and musicians, including Jamie Presley, Nicolas Cage and Sheryl Crow to name a few. He toured with Motley Crue as their lead hair stylist and still considers them friends. Brandon Waggoner has seen and done a lot in his first 36 years of life, but he would like to do a lot more back here in Dallas. His main motivation to move back to this area was to be closer to his family.

I didn't know all of his background prior to my appointment, but I was in serious need of a great cut and color combo and he seemed very confident that he was the guy for the job. I was impressed that the salon is in Uptown Dallas which is a really cool area and very pedestrian friendly. I had time to grab some Starbucks before strolling in for my appointment. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by none other than Warren Wilkes himself, who has a stellar reputation in the Dallas area as a top notch hair stylist. The salon is cozy and the entire staff seemed very friendly. When I met Brandon at Warren Wilkes Salon, I immediately felt comfortable with him. He shook my hand and looked me in the eye, which is something I always look for as a sign of character. I was a little early so I sat for awhile watching him finish up another client who had much longer hair than I do. As he was doing her hair, he showed her how he was styling it so that she would be able to do it herself when the time came. We all know how hard it is to get your hair to ever be as great looking as the day you left your stylist! Brandon's client seemed very pleased when he was done and I can say that she looked like she was ready for a photo shoot, gorgeous hair.

When I sat down in Brandon's chair, he asked me what I was looking for and then ran his fingers through my hair and told me what he thought would look great on me. We then discussed color and I mentioned to him that I missed the color I had as a little kid. I explained to him that long ago I had sandy brown hair with little streaks of blonde from the sun. I liked what I was envisioning when he explained the type of cut and color he wanted to give me, so I told him to just go for it and rock it out. The best part came next, the shampoo.

My rock star hair stylist shampoos his clients hair his self, and he does a wonderful job. I was so relaxed that I could have fallen asleep in the sink! Maybe it was just because I was out late for my birthday party the night before, but I think it was the scalp massage that was making me sleepy. After the shampoo I went back to his chair to have him apply 2 colors he mixed, using the small foil sheets. He seemed faster at the color application then other hairstylists I have used in the past, which was a good thing. We talked about his Hollywood days, and my time as a California native. We compared tattoos, I have plenty but he has more, and like me, each one has meaning to him. After he was done, I waited a little while and then he washed my hair again and started the cut. He was quick and masterful at that as well and soon I could see where my style was headed. After he was done with the cut, he blow dried my hair and at that point I thought it looked great and we were through. Brandon however, has a better eye than me, and said if I was up for it he wanted to add in a few pieces of darker tone to really make the color pop. I was definitely game.

In no time at all he added the color, let it sit a for 10 minutes and then rinsed and dried my hair again. I let him style it anyway he wanted and as he was doing that, he explained the different ways I would be able to style my hair, depending on what I was in the mood for. When he was finished, I had other customers at the salon complementing me and saying it was a great look. I totally agreed with them and after giving Brandon a big hug and thanks, I walked out of Warren Wilkes Salon feeling like a million bucks!

I should share with you that Brandon's hair cuts are $75 and color starts at $75-$150, which is a very reasonable price for a top notch hair stylist known all over Hollywood. He specializes in color correction and cuts. If you are looking for a terrific hair stylist with some great stories, a good sense of humor and a down to earth attitude, then you need to call Brandon Waggoner and make an appointment. His number at the salon is 214-855-5133. I suspect you will decide what I decided, he is the best in Dallas and I'm glad he is here.

If you have a lot of hair that is great. Because most will end up in the trash can from falling out.
He lacks zero respect for women or their hair. I witnessed two women cry from his "fabulous color", as he said they were just unhappy with them selves.
Your choice, your first thing people see.
He worked on sets with his father. Do you believe anyone that cant even do an updo could work on any movie set.
    Get REAL!!!
    or bring him soap
