The musty air in dampened soil,
that hid the sweet fragrances from my senses
the soil in which blinded my eyes in darkness,
the soil to which I buried myself in,
I brushed away,
by the light of day,
tall grass slowly swaying,
as I sit beneath the shady tree,
watch the beauty unfolding,
surrounding me,
granting me sight,
beyond what I ever thought could possibly be.
An epiphany,
in everything I see.
The soil dampened, now beneath my feet,
granting me a solid place to stand,
to understand,
as the sun casts its rays down upon me,
becoming a part of who I'm meant to be,
I follow,
listen to its cool comforting sound,
as it drifts in quiet solace over the land,
holding my hand,
holding my dreams, carrying them along in the breeze,
the breeze my soul once could not feel,
the dreams I once embraced,
now strong enough to make them real.
I smile in place of the fallen tear,
view the vivid landscape in love that was once so unclear,
now reflecting, reflecting in the water flow,
I see my face,
now in the crisp sweetness of colorful leaves,
beyond the crumpled fallen brown,
now on the surface of a landscape,
instead of buried beneath the ground,
hearing, listening intently to each sound,
the sounds once muffled through closed ear,
magical, the beauty so near,
felt in the emotion, gentle a caress,
touching the soul,
awakening,
like the springtime buds unfolding,
in my heart, holding,
with the sweet fragrances moving my senses,
an epiphany,
as it all moves through me,
I follow, each step casts another view,
with the shadows falling behind me,
held gently beneath the shady tree,
growing in beauty from the darkened,
dampened soil,
that once was a part of me.
that hid the sweet fragrances from my senses
the soil in which blinded my eyes in darkness,
the soil to which I buried myself in,
