Jesse Jackson has shown us once again why we have no chance of ever having good race relations in this country. Jackson has the rare ability to enter race into a topic that nobody else could have (Link to Article). The Dan Gilbert letter regarding Lebron James was a lot of things, but it was not something that should have incited anybody to insert the race card. This country has no chance of ever getting past race when men such as Jackson, who is considered a leader in race relations by many, make stupid comments such as this. Obviously, there are times when racism needs to be called out but when Jackson tries to insert race into a topic like this we cannot take him seriously when he tries to talk about race relations in meaningful and productive way.
