A new hip game that has swept the nation by surprise is Dance Dance Revolution. There are many different versions, so today we will take a look at Dance Dance Revolution the Disney version.

It has the same semantics as all the other versions; you use a foot pad with four directional arrows, stepping on them at the same time they appear on the screen. Also of course, the start, select, the "X", and the "O" buttons help to select and confirm your selections (from character choice to song selection).

You can select from a wide range of characters, mostly from Disney channel shows, such as Hanna Montana and Kim Possible, to name a few.

There are three main different game modes (there are more to choose from on the screen, however, they are pretty much the same with little difference from these three). Tutorial mode, which is important if you are new to the game it will show you how to play (on screen will show you were to place your feet for certain moves). Next there is workout mode, which is a fun way to see how many calories you are burning (this has become very popular in area schools to get kids interested in gym class!). You can also set how many calories you would like to burn. And finally you have competitor mode which allows you to play against your friend, which can be set up into a row of three songs or just play one song to see who the better dancer is.

This Dance Dance Revolution version is great for kids because there is no foul language in any of the songs (they are all Disney songs, of course!). It is also a very good family game, where you can all join together and play two at a time.

So what are you waiting for, get to stepping!
