Dance of Fall: An Autumn Poem

Fall Poetry

Bridgitte Williams

The trees slowly, magically undress.

Casting their used leaves away, careless.

They are blowing wild and free.

Their blazing colors delight me.

Caught in a waltz of the wind.

The dance of fall does begin.

A crisp and nipping breeze.

It does come blowing.

I move involuntarily to the beat.

To the rhythm of the seasons changing.

Dressing warmly.

Laughing, adapting.

Listening to the music of raking.

Smelling the sweet scent of pumpkin pie baking.

A caramel apple Halloween dream finds me.

Yet to come, Thanksgiving.

I give a humble bow.

Paying homage to autumn's orangy brown fine crown.

I step in time to it all.

The dance of fall.

Thank you for enjoying and reading my fall poem. Happy fall to all!

The dance of fall has just hit our area. It was so warm yesterday, and so cool today, making the two quite a contrast.
