Wendy Williams and Tony Dovaloni -
They danced the foxtrot with a rather slow and easy performance. Judge Len Goodman said that to express emotion though dance was very difficult. He called their performance a struggle, saying there was no movement, and that it wasn't great to watch. The judges agreed that she took a step back this week. Judges score: 15 out of 30.
Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas -
Last week the judges frowned heavily on the clown themed jive, but personally I loved it. It was the most interesting performance of the night. Tonight, she chose to dance with Mark to a song that was written for her by her first love. They danced the cha cha cha with aggression and strength, this time providing many more steps. Bruno called the dance sexy, Carrie Ann said she was a fan of that cha cha, and Len called it her best dance. Judges score: 23 out of 30.
Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke -
Jericho chose Let It Be by The Beatles for his story. He said it reminded him of his mom's passing and is also the song he played at her funeral. He admitted his real name is Chris Erving and that he was going to be that person in front the of the camera without playing a character. After hearing the story the dance and song was that much more beautiful and touching. At the end of the dance the camera cued in to a picture of his mom. The judges had good things to say but suggested he get more fluid with his hands. Judges score: 21 out of 30.
Kendra Wilkinson and Louis van Amstel -
She chose a song called You and Me by Music Soulchild. She said the song made her remember how people were let down that her husband Hank married a Playboy bunny. Hank and the baby were there during rehearsals and he said he was proud she chose to tell their love story. It was an incredible performance and she must be working hard because she seems to be dropping weight. The judges liked the performance calling it erotic. Judges score: 23 out of 30.
Romeo Miller and Chelsie Hightower -
Last week Len called their dance the best dance of the night. Tonight Romeo chose the song I'll Be There because he lost two cousins Fred and Lance and that his family taught him even with something negative, something positive can come out of it. They danced the ramba with elegance. My only complaint is that Romeo should have done more steps than his professional partner, or at least half as many. She seemed to do most of the work. Judges score: 20 out of 30.
Hines Ward and Kym Johnson -
Last week they did well winning the judges approval. This week Ward chose the song Fantasy by Earth, Wind, and Fire. He said his parents split up when he was little and his mom didn't have a job or know any English. Ward said she could have sent him to Korea with his dad, but instead she worked 3 to 4 jobs and took care of him. Tonight they danced the samba and he called it more challenging than previous dances. His mom was in the audience. They started out like it was to be a slow dance and it quickly sped up. He's getting better as his hip action and at doing a lot of steps with precision. Carrie said he seemed like he'd been dancing the samba his entire life, Len said he was proud of him, and Bruno said it was like an expression of happiness and called it happy hour. Judges score: 25 out of 30 - making them the highest score of the night, so far.
Petra Nemcova and Dmitry Chaplin -
They danced to a song she said inspired her to start a foundation. They danced the waltz with style and grace. Len said he had grace, elegance, and fluid movement. He said this week they were the one to beat. Judges score: 25 out of 30 - tying for the number one spot of the leaderboard with Hines Ward and Kym.
Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskaya -
They danced the paso doble to My Prerogative. Sugar Ray came packing the energy this week. He was all over the place with his eneergy, but seemed very in time. Bruno called him a raging bullfighter spirit. Carrie Ann said she saw a lot of improvement, and Len said he came out stronger and fought back. Judges score: 20 out of 30 making it his highest score so far.
Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy -
She chose to dance the ramba to Somewhere Over the Rainbow calling it the turning point in her life. She said she gave herself one year to become an actress, and then she received a call that her parents had been hit by a drunk driver, her mother had been killed, and her dad was dying. In 72 hours she had all that happen and got the role in Star Trek 2. Maks got slightly injured and had to take a second before he painfully went on with the dance. Maks said his thigh gave out. Len said like the song he picked himself up and dusted off and it was better than ever. Judges score: 21 out of 30.
Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff -
They performed the rumba to Stay Gold because of The Outsiders, the film that launched his career. He said he and his wife also chose that for their wedding song, and he dedicated the dance to her for their 24th anniversary. His wife was in the audience and he rushed up to her at the end. Len Goodman said he needs to work on his hip action and feet. He said the overall look and appeal was good. Judges score: 21 out of 30.
