Dancing Elves During Christmas

Most of the children of the world always look forward to Christmas Day. It is the time when everybody imbibes joy in their hearts, a time when everybody gets to share a common desire to spread love on earth. And they do so by giving gifts.

Gift giving during Christmas is very symbolical. It represents love and care. A gift personally picked by the giver is normally a mirror of how and what the receiver is being perceived. The gifts are a direct reflection of the person receiving it. Children in particular love the idea of gifts. It's practically the only thing they look forward to in Christmas. And Santa Claus would have to be their favorite person. But what does Santa really epitomize?

Santa Claus is almost like a god, an all-giving deity of some sort. He is always expected to grant all the wishes of children specifically. He is the guy that every kid in the world runs to if he asks for something in particular that his parents 'could not' provide.

However, Santa Claus is not solely responsible for all gifts. In fact, he is not doing the leg work at all. That's when his devoted elves come in to the picture. These elves are the ones making sure that the gifts are properly wrapped and that it is labeled correctly to the right kid.

These elves play a very big part in the Christmas tradition. If anything, the children have to be more thankful to them than Santa himself. The elves are the makers while Santa Claus is the delivery guy. Or at least, everybody should have an equal appreciation for the elves and Santa Claus.

So maybe we could all pay dedication to the ones who are hard at work behind the scenes during Christmas season. They too deserve some slack. It would be refreshing though to see dancing elves in an elfian party. Wouldn't that be some sight?
