"One thing I will always remember and take from this competition is definitely the lessons that I've learned," said Aaron. "I've grown so much with your compliments and your criticisms, so thank you. Thank you for helping me to be able to grow on this show."
Head judge Len Goodman, who clearly has a soft spot in his heart for Aaron, said, "You're an inspiration to all young people that anything is possible. If you were my son, I would be so proud of you."
Indeed. This DWTS fan will miss you, Aaron.
Despite Aaron Carter's premature exit, the Dancing With the Stars week 8 results show proved to be exceedingly entertaining. For starters, "Britain's Got Talent" phenom Susan Boyle (whose album drops later this month) sang her signature tune, "I Dreamed a Dream." It was an understated performance, in my view, but enjoyable nonetheless. Boyle's performance was enhanced by pros Tony Dovolani and Chelsie Hightower, who essayed an accompanying dance routine that was both artistic and provocative.
Canadian singer Michael Buble also contributed to the evening's festivities; he turned in excellent performances of "Haven't Met You Yet" and "I'm Feelin' Good."
And the Macy's Stars of Dance performance was extraordinary. Fans of DWTS got to vote on which former contestant they wanted to see again - along with the pro partner, dance style, music, and costume. The result: Sabrina Bryan and pro dancer Mark Ballas danced a Paso Doble to "Eye of the Tiger" while attired in tiger costumes. How cool is that?
One of the highlights of the show (for this DWTS fan, anyway) was the "Dance Center" segment featuring Kenny Mayne, Jerry Rice and DWTS head judge Len Goodman. Their analysis of the remaining contestants was hilarious.
So now it's on to the semifinals, which features Donny Osmond, Joanna Krupa, Kelly Osbourne (who should have been eliminated Tuesday night) and Mya, who is clearly the best dancer of the bunch and therefore deserves to go all the way (even though I will be rooting for Donny, my favorite this season).
Next week the contestants will have to perform three routines apiece, including one freestyle performance.

Post a CommentI am so disappointed in the fans this year. We should be voting on the best dancer, especially when it comes to the half point of the show. Aaron was so much the better dancer. I believe that he should have been in the final three, if not the final one. Joanna was also much better dancer than Kelly. Mya has had ballroom experience before on the movie "Shall We Dance" with Richard Gere. She danced the Rumba and another dance that she did on the show. I do not think that it fare that some have ballroom experience. I am one of the most devoted fans of this show from its beginning. Please fans think about the better dancer next year!!!!! Now that it is down to Donny, Mya, and Kelly, I definitely want Donny to win, he is the better dancer without ballroom experience.
Aaron was so much better than Kelly. Please! This is about her last name and that is it. I felt sorry for him. It really broke my heart. This is when I start tuning out.
I kind of figured that.
I'm very disappointed that Aaron was eliminated. He was a much better dancer than Kelly. She was just okay but he was often outstanding. I wonder if she would still be there if she had a different last name.
Aaron was a very good dancer%2C when he started he was kinda all over the place%2Chowever after he tone down a little he was great. I hate to see he leave the show but I think Mya is better.
Although Aaron was not the best dancer in the remaining bunch I think he should not have been eliminated. Oh and the comment that Kelly should have been the one eliminated....PLEASEEE....shes the best...you dont stare at the TV with a biger smile on your face when she is dancing; granted...Mya is the gifted one in the bunch...I hope to see Mya win the competition but I want to see how the rest do to be able to make any type of judgement.
My dancing days ended (except for one cruise) with the Twist! But, I DO enjoy watching people who can get their bodies to move in such remarkable ways!
Great review. I'm annoyed that I missed this; I'm a huge Susan Boyle and Michael Buble fan...
