Dancing with the Stars 2010, Analysis of Each Contestant's Chance of Winning

The Cast of the 2010 Dancing with the Stars Season was announced Monday, March 2nd during The Bachelor finale. With the premiere of Dancing with the Stars just a few weeks away (Monday, March 22nd), it is time to take a look at the eleven contestants and make our predictions. Which stars will be making early exits? Who will make it to the semi finals? Which celebrity or celebrities are the early favorite to win the 2010 season of Dancing with the Stars?

Here is the celebrity cast list for the 2010 season of Dancing with the Stars. The list includes a brief bio for each contestant and a prediction of how each contestant will fare.

Kate Gosselin - The star of reality TV's, Jon & Kate Plus Eight is easily the most talked about contestant. She is also one of those polarizing figures. Love her or hate her, the big question is, Can she dance? Even if Ms. Gosselin can dance she is up against some hearty competition, with several athletes and even a former dancer in the Dancing with the Stars line up. My prediction is that she will make it through the first week or two, but will make it nowhere near the semi finals.

Chad Ochocinco - Ochocinco, for those of you like me who do not follow professional football, is the wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals. Ochocinco has several factors in his favor. First, he is an athlete and athletes tend to do well on the show. Second, he is reportedly a funny guy. The Bengals wide receiver is considered one of the funniest and most outspoken NFL players, which makes for fun viewing. My prediction is Mr. Ochocinco will make it to the final two.

Pamela Anderson - The former Baywatch beauty has demonstrated that she can at the very least "pole dance". Whether that skill will transfer to the world of ball room dancing, we don't know. She is fit though and will probably find a male fan base. Though, one has to wonder how many men actually watch Dancing with the Stars. I think Pam will do ok, though I think she will stop short of making it to the semi finals.

Aiden Turner - The handsome British import, who is most famous for his role on the soap, All My Children will probably fare pretty well on this season's Dancing with the Stars. He looks like a guy who can dance at least and he is sure to gather a lot of female votes. I see him as a potential semi finalist.

Shannen Doherty - Hollywood bad girl and former star of television series Charmed and Beverly Hills 90210. I will admit I used to be a fan of Doherty when she was on 90210. However, it has been awhile since we have seen much of the former 90210 star and what we have seen hasn't been that good. I predict that she is the first Dancing with the Stars contestant eliminated.

Erin Andrews - Again as a non sports fan, I am not very familiar with the ESPN sportscaster. She is the sportscaster most famous for the "peep hole" incident. Can she dance? My guess is that this former cheerleader will do pretty good in the competition. She is attractive and looks fit. I predict that she is the most successful female contestant, a definite semi finalist.

Buzz Aldrin - Aldrin, the former astronaut, is most famous for being the second man to land on the moon. I am pretty sure that he is the first astronaut cast on Dancing with the Stars. Astronauts are known for their athleticism and discipline, but will it be enough to carry him to the finals? I don't think so. I predict that Aldrin will be eliminated by the fourth round.

Niecy Nash - Comedian Niecy Nash best known for her role on one of my husband's favorites Reno 911 looks like a woman who may have some dancing talent. Could she be the surprise ringer for the season? I honestly have no idea. I am going to take a guess and say no. While Niecy will be fun to watch, I don't see her going to the semi finals.

Nichole Schezinger - This aspiring singer and former Pussy Cat Doll is on the surface an obvious choice for going far on Dancing with the Stars. Obviously, she knows how to dance, but Dancing with the Stars is more than a dancing competition, the public gets a vote and I don't see the public choosing the former Pussy Cat star as this season's Dancing with the Stars winner. I do think she stands a shot at making it to the semi finals though.

Evan Lyscek - The Olympic gold medal winning figure skater is going to do very well on the 2010 season of Dancing with the Stars. Many are predicting that he will be the winner and they very well might be right on this one. I see Lyscek as one of the finalists with a very good shot of being the 2010 Dancing with the Stars winner.

Jake Pavelka - When does this man work? The Bachelor star, and shall we say former pilot, can't seem to stay out of the spotlight. We all know he has killer abs, but does America really want to see more of him? I predict he will be out by the third round.

I am no Dancing with the Stars expert, but I do enjoy watching the show. These are my predictionsfor who has a shot of winning the 2010 Dancing with the Stars season, watch with me and see how accurate I am.

I was wondering who the new "stars" would be. Athletes tend to do pretty well, so I'm betting Chad and Evan will make it to the final four. I'll be watching!
