Dancing with the Stars 2010 Cast Boasts Top Prospects Evan Lysacek, Nicole Scherzinger And... Kate Gosselin?

A Look at Season 10's Top Couples

The Dancing with the Stars 2010 cast of celebrity participants was revealed on Monday evening during the season finale of ABC's The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love. To keep the hit reality show's pre-season momentum going leading up to its March 22 debut, the full DWTS lineup was officially announced just hours later on Good Morning America, when the celebrities were officially matched with their respective professional partners. Here's a look at the couples to watch during season 10.

Dancing with the Stars 2010 couple to watch #1: Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya. Evan Lysacek has nothing if not the blessing of incredible forward momentum. He joins the Dancing with the Stars 2010 cast just weeks after upsetting defending champion Evgeni Plushenko to take the gold medal in men's figure skating at the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. He's athletic, repeatedly dubbed a workhorse by NBC commentator Scott Hamilton during the Games, and overcame Plushenko's arsenal of difficult jumps with grace, elegance and style on the ice. Will grace on the ice transfer to the same off-ice? That's the big question.

In Anna Trebunskaya, who returns for her fifth season as part of the Dancing with the Stars cast, Lysacek has a partner who is undoubtedly skilled, but not the most successful in DWTS history. Her first season on the show, the second, was her best by far; she and NFL superstar Jerry Rice placed second behind winner Drew Lachey. The seasons that followed saw Trebunskaya paired with a string of celebs who simply didn't have a shot out of the gate, either because they lacked notoriety (model Albert Reed) or they simply weren't among the best dancers taking part (actor Steve Guttenberg and ultimate fighter Chuck Liddell). If Lysacek can shake those hips and transfer his ice chops to the Ballroom, he and Trebunskaya should make the finals.

Dancing with the Stars couple to watch #2: Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough. Nicole Scherzinger, lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls and a solo musical artist in her own right, knows a thing or two about entertaining a crowd with her moves, as any decent pop star should. She's also a performance veteran and has her shimmy-shake down. Expect this chick to nail her Latin-flavored routines, a la Mya and Lil Kim. If she's anything like the two ladies mentioned, she'll be a ballroom maven to boot, and judge Bruno Tonioli will love with her a capital L. After all, talent is talent, and if you've got it, it can be fine-tuned into greatness.

Scherzinger's partner in the Dancing with the Stars 2010 cast is Derek Hough, who won the Mirrorball trophy with model Brooke Burke at the close of season 7. The always affable, sometimes goofball Hough has a way of taking his smokin' hot partners (because they all really have been smokin' -- seriously, his partner history includes Jennie Garth, Shannon Elizabeth, Brooke Burke, Lil Kim and Joanna Krupa) and transforming them into great dancers. Entering the DWTS season 10 competition with a trained entertainer like Scherzinger on his arm, he stands to repeat his victory with what may be very little effort.

Dancing with the Stars couple to watch #3: Kate Gosselin and Tony Dovolani. Lysacek/Trebunskaya and Scherzinger/Hough are potential DWTS season 10 winner material; Jon & Kate Plus 8 star Kate Gosselin and partner Tony Dovolani are simply the season's 'must watch because this could be an unparalleled trainwreck and you just can't make yourself look away' couple. Kate Gosselin, ex of Jon and mother of eight, is such a polarizing figure that she's sure to be ratings gold for Dancing with the Stars season 10. She admitted on a Monday appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live that she can't dance, but in nearly the next breath claimed that she'll win the show anyway, and honestly, she could well pull it off.

In Tony Dovolani, Gosselin has a patient, mature match. How the typically controlling Kate will handle being controlled by Tony as the duo rehearses in the basement of her Pennsylvania home remains to be seen, but viewers will want to tune in to see. The promise of drama can make excellent TV.

Other celebrity and professional pairings included in the Dancing with the Stars 2010 cast include:

Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson and DWTS newcomer Damian Whitewood
ESPN's Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Astronaut Buzz Aldrin and Ashly Delgrosso Costa
Soap star Aiden Turner and Edyta Sliwinska
NFL Wide Receiver Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke
The Bachelor Jake Pavelka and Chelsie Hightower
Actress Shannen Doherty and Mark Ballas
Comedienne Niecy Nash and Louie van Amstel

Funny, I think Kate will be a blast to watch, and as my other half said, she'll certainly look good in the costumes!

Eh, I want Kate gone the first night. I just can't look at her! Aiden Turner, now, he and Evan, I'm rooting for them.
