Dancing with the Stars 2010 Cast Lineup Revealed; Evan Lysacek, Erin Andrews Among Participating Celebs

Dancing with the Stars fans: Are you ready to Tango, Salsa, Samba and Foxtrot your way into season 10?

Reality television made entertainment headlines again this evening as longtime DWTS co-host Tom Bergeron and former DWTS contestant Melissa Rycroft officially revealed the 2010 Dancing with the Stars cast lineup live throughout the season finale of The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love.

Included in the new 2010 Dancing with the Stars lineup are a mix of generally B and C-list celebrities. A few novel inclusions are astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the 80-year old moonwalker, as well as newly minted Olympic men's figure skating gold medalist Evan Lysacek. During a recent appearance on Regis and Kelly, judge Carrie Ann Inaba said she expects yet another great season of competitive dancing, calling the new Dancing with the Stars lineup "amazing".

Professional partner assignments for Dancing with the Stars season 10 have yet to be officially announced, but blogs are a-twitter with speculation. Going on history alone, Nicole Scherziner , likely a strong competitor given her occupation and experience with the musical world, will probably be paired with Derek Hough or Mark Ballas, who tend to dance with the strongest candidates. Ballas won the competition with season 6 contestant Kristi Yamaguchi and with season 8 hoofer Shawn Johnson.

In the same vein, Buzz Aldrin, who is likely a weaker contestant if only because of age, can likely expect to take to the ballroom floor with Dancing with the Stars pro dancer Edyta Sliwinska or Anna Trebunskaya. Neither pro has ever taken home the Mirrorball trophy, and neither has ever been paired with an early favorite to win the title.

Confirmed to be joining the season 10 Dancing with the Stars lineup of professional dancers are two-time pro champ Cheryl Burke, Derek Hough, Anna Trebunskaya, Maksim 'bad boy of the ballroom' Chmerkovskiy and Mark Ballas among others.

In DWTS cast exit news, Lacey Schwimmer tweeted to followers Februrary 19th that she wouldn't be competiting as a pro dancer during Dancing with the Stars season 10, but didn't cite a reason for her departure. Jonathan Roberts also announced that he wouldn't be taking part as a professional dancer, although he didn't rule out the possibility of appearing on the show in another capacity. Also not returning are Anna Demidova, who debuted with partner NFL star Michael Irvin last season, season 9 pro champ Kym Johnson and Karina Smirnoff, Chmerkovskiy's ex-fiancee.

The Dancing with the Stars season 10 premiere is set to air March 22 on ABC.
