'Dancing with the Stars' 2010 Season 11, Week 2: Michael Bolton Gets the Boot

Surprised? I'm Not and Neither is Judge Bruno Tonioli

Surprise, surprise, surprise. Michael Bolton and dance partner Chelsie Hightower were voted off of 'Dancing With the Stars' on ABC's Tuesday night episode of the show.

Michael has many talents, but dancing is not one of them. This was painfully obvious during the last dance performance he and Chelsie gave after being told they would not return next week. Michael looked like a reluctant husband whose wife insisted he get up and dance with her at the office Christmas party.

Michael did have the satisfaction of letting Judge Bruno Tonioli know that the harsh criticism he received from him during the Monday night episode of DWTS was inappropriate and disrespectful. Bruno had told Michael his jive dance was the worst performance he'd seen in 11 seasons of 'Dancing With the Stars.'

"You did it all very, very badly," Bruno said Monday night, before giving Michael a paltry score of 3. On Tuesday night, host Tom Bergeron asked Bruno to explain his criticism of Michael, and for the second night in a row, Judge Len Goodman jumped in to rebuke Bruno for his scathing comments about Michael's jive dance.

At one point, I saw Bruno slap his own wrist in self-punishment, although he didn't even deserve that. After all, he is a judge and said what he thought. How is that bad? I applaud Michael for putting himself out there, and he certainly did a better job than most of us sitting at home could do, but there is a reason he was voted off during the second week of the show. His dancing just wasn't up to snuff.

So tune in next week to see who will go and who will stay.

Sandra, thanks for reading. I didn't realize his mother was in the audience, so that wasn't very nice, but I have a feeling we're going to hear and see a lot more meanness before the season is over. I hope you continue watching!

Michael Bolton may not dance well but
the way Bruno acted was way out of line.
He is a judge tier to encourage people not put them down the way he did especially as hard as Michael worked.
Even the other dancers couln't believe it.And in front of his 90 yr old mother who came to see him. Bruno needs to be
    repprimended for this.
This isn't his first time . I shut the
show off it disgust me so bad.

David, I'm not musical nor can I dance!

Most professional male musicians I know and play with are the worse dancers, me included. You would think having the ability to play music would carry over but it seems to be uncommon. Most of the famous female singers/dancers can't really sing, they use a voice processor to make it seem like they can sing. Michael Jackson had the talent to do both really well.
