Dancing with the Stars 2010 TV Theme Week 5 Spoilers and Preview: Kurt Warner Gets Bewitched, Jennifer Grey Plays Coy
Dancing with the Stars 2010 TV Theme Week Spoiler #1: Florence Henderson and Corky Ballas. Here's the story, of a lovely lady.... Season 11's most senior member and her charming partner are slated to Tango to (what else?) the theme of Florence's smash hit show The Brady Bunch (pending clearance). The golden-haired actress should earn mad audience approval for the jaunt down nostalgia lane, but after last week's racy, raunchy, Cloris Leachman-esque Rumba, I'm not sure she'll be able to fool me into believing her Tango has the class it'll need to excel. She could find herself in trouble, and wanting desperately to continuing competing isn't a good enough reason to keep her around unless she ups her game. A lot.
Dancing with the Stars 2010 TV Theme Week Spoiler #2: Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. I laughed at the irony when I read TV Squad's claim that the R&B singer and her Bad Boy partner would be Quickstepping-it to the tune of the Friends theme song, I'll Be There For You. After all, anyone who's taken an fair gander at DWTS season 11 would peg them as the edition's most contentious couple. Musical oddity aside, if they could pull of a sophistocated, steamy Rumba last they did during week 4, I have high expectations for TV theme week. Just shut up and listen to Maks, girl, and you should rock it.
Dancing with the Stars 2010 TV Theme Week Spoiler #3: Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer. This one has 'holy cow, what a total cheeseball' potential, but that's okay: I'm used to the Disney star's over-the-top entertainment-laden routines. He and Lacey are set to Foxtrot to the tune of Charlie's Angels. No matter how bad his footwork, it's only week 5, so he'll still earn high paddle marks for wowing the audience with his charisma. But be careful, Kyle: Eventually your clumsy feet will do you in.
Dancing with the Stars 2010 TV Theme Week Spoiler #4: Kurt Warner and Anna Trebunskaya. According to the folks over at Wet Paint, the NFL star and his fiery-haired pro partner will do a little Quickstep magic to the theme from Elizabeth Montgomery's popular show Bewitched. Methinks that the incongruity between the former quarterback's Christianity and witchcraft aside, this could make for a super cute, super perky routine for Samantha and Darren... er, Anna and Kurt. Can't you already see Anna wiggling her nose? But will it be enough cuteness to save them from the judges' nasty paddles? Probably not. If previous weeks are any indication, Len and the crew just don't seem to like the affable Kurt.
Dancing with the Stars 2010 TV Theme Week Spoiler #5: Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani. Move over, Flo: You're not the only chick dancing to her own TV theme music on DWTS. The Hills star and her partner will Rumba, Rumba, Rumba reality style to the sounds of Natasha Bedingfield's Unwritten. The near-waifish twenty-something has proven herself a worthy competitor week after week, so I'm expecting some steamy, smoky, sultry stylings as they shimmy and slide around the ballroom floor.
Dancing with the Stars 2010 TV Theme Week Spoiler #6: Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke. Joining Audrina and Tony in TV theme week Rumbaland are the retired NBA star and his super skilled partner, but sorry guys: I have to give the advantage here to the reality chick! I know that Carrie Ann Inaba loves her some long and lean athleteness, but I just can't see Rick and Cheryl's Hill Street Blues Rumba heating things up. She'll dance seductively all around him, like a(n admittedly sexy) squirrel rounding a large-stumped tree, but that's just not my idea of hotness. Could I be wrong? Yep. As a matter of fact, I've been wrong about this couple just about every week so far. But eventually, I'll be right, because they're going to win the Mirrorball this season. Mark my words.
Dancing with the Stars 2010 TV Theme Week Spoiler #7: Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough. DWTS season 11's frontrunners have played it coy when it comes to revealing their TV theme song selection for the week, saying merely that their Foxtrot will pay "homage to a 50s married couple", according to ET Online. Tune identity aside, one thing's not in question: The actress and her young-enough-to-be-her-son partner will most likely tear it up and make a lot of other couples look really, really bad. Again.
Dancing with the Stars 2010 TV Theme Week Spoiler #8: Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas. The judges dealt the teen activist and her partner a serious spanking with their paddles after her week 4 Rumba, awarding even her precise footwork a lowly 18 points for technique. Even Kyle 'your footwork is non-existent' Massey scored 18 points, for pete's sake, and his sloppy sashaying pales in comparison to Bristol's precise stepping. But that was last week. TV theme week will see the pair take on a Jive, set to an as-yet-to-be-named theme song. Will she place her piggies precisely? Yep. Will she be rewarded for her efforts? Nope. The performance show hasn't even happened yet and I can already tell ya she'll be in danger come Tuesday night.

Post a CommentWow i don't watch the show but am loving these comments. People get hot over this stuff don't they. Wow guys these are just famous people who are dancing to win money for charity. These are not pro dancers here- Give some of them a break unless you want to get on the show yourself.
Trying to keep up with page views! I was here with some page love!
Really? Bristol underscored? I think you need to revisit the clips Sherry. Mark has made her routines so basic and directs her on the floor so strongly that she can't help but put her feet correctly. She has absolutely nothing invested in her performance. Mark is just puling her through the moves. At least Kyle is dancing. You just spoiled your spoilers for me.
I never seem to catch DWTS. You do a great job of recapping the show. :)
I'll be watching along with the rest of America on Monday night. DWTS is still a favorite of mine. cheers :)
Bristol's raunchy rumba deserved even lower marks. She does NOT dance. She does NOT really move. Talk about a squirrel-like pro partner dancing around - in this case an immovable lump of cheese? blubber? that is Bristol Palin and choreographing routines that don't tax dear, exhausted single mom (with large extended family of baby sitters and live in nannies) who can't seem to understand that if she'd stop with the nachos and fast food, she'd lose some of that exhaust making blubber or maybe she could put in an honest days work in rehearsal - or yeah, she's a Paylin.
What's with all the harping on Maks and Brandy being supposedly "contentious"? Have you seen any footage of them off the floor? They click so well, people are speculating whether they should be a real couple.
