Dancing with the Stars 2010 Week 6 Nicole Scherzinger Sexy Samba Keeps Her on Top Jake Pavelka Hits the Bottom

Joyce Carole
The remaining seven couples hit the dance floor with a series of sizzling sambas and tantalizing Argentine tangos. They followed up the sultry Spanish dances with the first ever swing dance competition. Nicole Scherzinger proved once again that she is the one to beat easily winning both the highest score for her sexy samba and winning the swing dance competition. Evan Lysacek slipped a bit this week, and the Bachelor, Jake Pavelka may be the next contestant to go home.

Jake Pavelka and Chelsea Hightower Score: 21

Jake and Chelsea are the first to hit the DWTS dance floor with the samba, and once again Jake stumbles during his performance. While their samba was high in energy, it lacked rhythm. According to DWTS judge, Bruno Jake "didn't wiggle correctly". Carrie Ann praised Jake for pushing himself, but told him to make it to the top he needs to "connect with the music".

Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya Score: 21

Evan and Anna took second place last week, this week they perform the samba. Bruno praised Evan's lyrical lines, but faulted his "turned out legs". Carrie Ann told the couple that they "lost against this dance". Len, who tried not to be nasty, said it was the couple's worst dance of the season. I hate to say it but I have to agree.

Niecy Nash and Louie Van Amstel Score: 21

Niecy and Louie hit the dance floor with the night's first Argentine tango. Carrie Ann praised Niecy for "dancing" she gave her high marks for being in the zone and for going for the lift. Len praised the couple's comedy but noted that it lacked a bit of intensity.

Erin Andrews and Maxsim Chmerkovskiy Score: 25

The charismatic couple heated up the Dancing with the Stars dance floor with a steamy samba that had the audience on their feet. Len lambasted the couple for performing theatrics and "not dancing". Bruno praised her "placement of her arms" and described her "girl who likes to be on top" dance technique. Carrie Ann told the couple they nailed it.

Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke Score: 24

Chad and Cheryl perform a sexually charged Argentine tango that has Dancing with the Stars' judge Bruno on his feet screaming that the dance was "demented". Carrie Ann praised their gorgeous lines. Len told the football star that he "grew" tonight.

Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough Score: 26

Nicole Scherzinger appears to have been made for the samba. If there was any doubt that Nicole was in the same league as the other dancers, it was obliterated tonight. Carrie Ann said the dance was ridiculously good. Len said the dance was not a samba. Bruno disagreed and in his typical fashion praised the pop singer's gyrations.

Pamela Anderson and Damian Whitewood Score: 22

Pamela once again landed in the bottom two last week. This week she donned a brunette week and looked more like Raquel Welch than herself to dance a smoldering Argentine tango with partner Damian Whitewood. Len called the dance a little "scruffy" but praised their lifts. Bruno said he loves the way she becomes the character. Carrie Ann praised her upper body but took issue with the lower body.

The final part of tonight's episode of Dancing with the Stars is the "Swing Dance" competition. In this competition the last couple standing receives 10 points to add to their score, the next to last gets 9 and it goes on and on.

Here is the results from the first ever Swing Dance Competition

Your program is wonderful . But is my knowledge ( I'm a Brazilian lady ) that when you play samba, this is not samba.
Not the music end not the dancing.
I thing your choreographer need some advice from a native Brazilian.
    Warmers regard.

Erin should go home. She flails around like an ostrich and looks like she's leading Maks instead of the other way around. Pamela at least can dance, and Jake is improving all the time.
