Dancing with the Stars 2010 Week 6 Results: Audrina Patridge Falls in DWTS Season 11 Elimination Shocker

The Dancing with the Stars 2010 week 6 results show aired October 26 on ABC on the heels of an evening of Rock-themed routines. The elimination round entertainment included musical performances by Kylie Minogue and Heart and a kickin' Macy*s Stars of Dance routine that all led to the shocking elimination of reality TV star Audrina Patridge from the season 11 competition. Here's a recap.

The Dancing with the Stars 2010 week 6 results show got off to a bang-up start as co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke reviewed the performances of last night's bottom three finishers: Teen activist Bristol Palin, actress Jennifer Grey and NFL star Kurt Warner. First to be proclaimed safe to dance again were Kurt and partner Anna Trebunskaya. Oooh, I didn't see that one coming! But that was just the first surprise of the night: Moments later, Bristol and partner Mark Ballas were also deemed safe. Jennifer and partner Derek Hough, conversely, found themselves in peril.

Up next, Len 'Crankypants' Goodman called Bristol and Mark to the ballroom floor to perform the encore dance of the week: Their air guitar-infused Tango. Sorry haters, and everyone who's written to tell me that I suck for praising this dance yesterday, but it was still a fun routine and worthy of the scores it received. I'm sorry that you're unable to see beyond political bias! But anyway.

After a break, Heart capped off DWTS Rock Week with a performance of their signature tune Barracuda. A collection of Dancing with the Stars pros, including Chelsie Hightower, Karina Smirnoff, Anna Demidova (I think -- it was hard to tell with the 80s hair flying all around), Louis van Amstel, Damian Whitewood and Derek Hough, shook their its in accompaniment.

The week 6 results action continued with former Laker Rick Fox and Disney kid Kyle Massey, who both scored 30 points last night, on the hot seat. Rick and partner Cheryl Burke were proclaimed safe to dance again, while Kyle and partner Lacey Schwimmer joined Jennifer and Derek in the jeopardy zone. A taped segment featuring commentary by Rocks Stars including Alice Cooper and Bret Michaels aired next. Total time filler. Instead, I'll move on to the next offering, the School of Rock Macy*s Stars of Dance performance. It was way cool, man. Way cool.

Kylie Minogue and a small herd of shirtless, spandex-clad men offered up the next musical performance of the Dancing with the Stars 2010 week 6 results show. The singing was fine, but I couldn't tell if I was supposed to think the red and black spandex pants were funny or sexy. But be still my heart... did I spy Mark Kanemura of So You Think You Can Dance Bleeding Love fame among Kylie's group of man candy?! Woot! Well that changes everything! Definitely sexy. But moving on....

More elimination action! R&B singer Brandy and The Hills star Audrina Patridge found themselves on the hot seat. There was more nonsense involving a taped segment featuring the contestants' thoughts on winning, but it was just a time filler so I won't go into it. Instead, I'll note that Brandy and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy were saved to dance again, while Audrina and partner Tony Dovolani were left in danger of elimination.

I feel a little sick when I consider who's still at risk on this Dancing with the Stars week 6 results show: Jennifer, a three-time leaderboard topper; Kyle, the master of entertainent; and Audrina, perhaps the biggest pleasant surprise of DWTS season 11. Seriously, do any of them have to go? Ah, but they do.

Following a final break, Tom and Brooke revealed the big news of the night. Kyle and Lacey were proclaimed safe, leaving leaderboard toppers Jennifer and Audrina standing under the red lights. Bruno was stunned to see Audrina in trouble, and Carrie Ann said "it would hurt" if Jennifer went home over last night's stumble. Len called the situation "ludicrous" and "absolute nonsense", asserting that there was "no justice" in the two of them being up for elimination so early in the competition.

And then the word was given as Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani were eliminated from DWTS season 11. What the...? How did this happen? This is akin to the shocking season 5 elimination of Cheetah Girl Sabrina Bryan. America, you got it so wrong that I can't even express my thoughts in intelligible fashion. Rick, Bristol, Kurt and Kyle were seriously all better than Audrina? Egads.

Well, for better or worse, that's it for Dancing with the Stars week 6 - the results. Tune in next week for the 200th episode gala event and watch as 50 former DWTS celebs return for more ballroom hyjinx. Or of course you can check in with me. You know I'll be watching.

I'm not surprised she got the boot. She dances without any personality AT ALL. Don't kill me -- but she reminds me of Kate Gosselin when she dances -- although I agree she has much much better dancing skills. I've become a fan of Bristol. She seems like a really shy girl and she is really coming alive here! I had to set politics aside and glad I did.

I'm surprised she got the boot...there are certainly some worse than she is.

It's always hard to say goodbye - but someone has to be eliminated, there can only be one winner :) Next week, the 200th show should be a blast! cheers

the public called it right. Audrina looked outwardly pretty dancing but left the feeling of emptiness in her physical amd facial execution. In that respect the bottom groups bring showmanship, likability and pazazz to their routines regardless of their dance ability. Audrina was stiff and boring with a far away look on her...dadadeedeedada deedee
