Dancing with the Stars

Who's Your Favorite?

Serenity
Millions of American viewers wait in anticipation for one of the most widely watched Monday night shows which airs on ABC, "Dancing With the Stars". I am definitely one of those viewers. As a viewer, I get a sense of anticipation waiting to see who will be the next stars to appear on the show. My two favorite dancers this season are Laila Ali, and Joey Fatone. Laila the daughter of Mohammed Ali also a boxer like her father, shows off her dancing talent. Joey Fatone, is most remembered as a member of the popular singing group "N Sync". Joey's talent is still strong and he shows it as he dances with his partner Kym Johnson. The most improved of the dancers, in my opinion is Billy Ray Cyrus, a country singer well known for the hit single "Achy Breaky Heart". Billy Ray's efforts are to be commended, and his fans seem to enjoy seeing this country boy do his thing.

Ofcourse it is very entertaining and keeps one focused on which star will be eliminated next. Watching the popular show can be very interesting with it's stars waltzing their way across the dance floor. Some are really good, some are just plain awful. Although popular in category, it can be most unnerving to watch your favorite dancer being scolded and sent off to be judged. You never know who has dance talent and who doesn't. There are stars who are older and slower, but they make up for it in other ways. Jerry Springer was once a contestant. Who would have thought he would have lasted as long as he did. And who can forget Master P? He was one to remember. It's when the viewer scores come in that really mixes things up. It really takes courage for anyone to go out on a dance floor to show an audience what they've got. And some have nothing, but a pretty or handsome face and clumsy moves, which can be very entertaining in itself. Being leaner and more agile is a plus for this type of compettion. A good match in height is a plus. It can be hilarious when you see two people dancing and one is almost half the height of the other. It's all entertainment.

Many can say that "Dancing with the Stars" will be around for awhile. All I can say is that it is good television when I can see some of my favorites compete for a dance trophy. I will certainly keep my tv tuned in. After all is said and done, I give this show a "Thumbs Up!"
